 Google? Some of these reports are hilarious.
Google would never bid because they wouldn't want to jeopardise the relationship with their number one smart phone channel partner in Australia (Telstra).
7 and 10 ain't bidding.
like you'd have any idea
Anyone with any idea about the corporate world knows that a key part of a distribution strategy is to minimise channel conflict. Telstra is too valuable to Google to challenge over League rights.
7 and 10 ain't bidding.
Again, you clearly don't understand how business works. Just because your competitors are f**ked up doesn't mean you make financially stupid decisions. Keep your own finances in order, don't worry about anyone else's. Wouldn't expect someone with 58,000 posts on a forum to understand that though.
If being a realist makes me a troll, then I'm a troll.

Ha ha Telstra > Google
Derp
This is so good. It's almost a carbon copy of what he said before. Complete with the "You know nothing about business" spiel :lol:we've heard that from you before and it was an epic fail
Google have shown before that they're unafraid to burn a few bridges. Just look at their relationship with Apple- they were touted as being a partner in the early days of the iPhone, providing Apple with Maps, Search etc back in 2007, then under a year later they'd released the first phone running Android. Apple never saw it coming- that's what Apple's tanty throwing in the courts at the moment is over. Google had more to lose by screwing Apple than they would Telstra too. Google had premium mobile advertising space on the iPhone- if Android didn't take off and Apple switched to Bing/Yahoo, Google would have lost an important revenue stream. They're in a far better position with Telstra. Carriers prefer selling an Android phone over an iPhone as it nets them more profit and no one is buying Windows Phone. Google can do what they want without fear of Telstra dumping them, Android is too important to Telstra's profits.
