Yeah I can't imagine Bluey intends on playing Omar Rapati as an impact player, Locke mustn't be 100% yet.
Brown at centre is a worry, Manu (or Tupou, depending how they lineup on Friday) can expect little ball and to watch Brown to go himself again and again.

I'd like to see Seb debut - but watching the Vulcans, I would of though Sam Lousi was ahead of him in the pecking order.

I like what Seb may possibly bring to the table - high work rate, good dummy half running.
Intimidating place to debut though.

I rate Ikahihifo, but its another young bloke, isn't it? I haven't thought this was a major issue previously, but I am starting to wonder if it is.

Yup, from the 20's last year obviously. standout season in 2010. knee recon (?) last year but played later rounds and finals campaign. Jnr Kiwis 10, 11.

Hasn't exactly been a standout in the Vulcs...

I've got huge wraps on ikahihifo- my daughter even named her budgie after him so she will be super excited if he plays. Tbh I've always thought he had more potential than Taylor or benry- seemed to make more of an impact in the 20s and was the best player on the field in the junior kiwis v Roos game last year. Also in the sths trial this year he outplayed e.t and benry.
Geez it's a young side tho, they will be doin well if they can get over the broncos- It would be enough to make me a believer

Oh dear Brown at centre, I'd rather have put Omar in there.

I second this

Brown's a tough nut and you need to be against the Broncos, they all seem to be young, fit and aggressive, running hard at defences.

I'd rather Brown in the thick of that than Omar (at this stage). On a general level it's like groundhog day, we don't have specialist centres. Brown, Mannering, Henry...Inu struck me as makeshift last year too (he'd rather have been on the wing where the workrate is less demanding).

Oh for Sonny Fai! Fai and Hurrell.

lol @ Omar at centre. Brown is not a centre, but that's plain ridiculous.

How about we have a classic contest? With us leading 20-18 at the 71st minute stage. Then the Broncos run in two converted tries and a field goal to win 31-18.

For what it's worth that came to me last night in a nightmare.

Once again, the excitement building this weekend is palpable. How did we survive those byes? Let alone the summer?

Brown? Surely not. I thought it was someones bad joke when I saw it yesterday. The poor bloke does his best there I'm sure, but opponents have left him grasping thin air in the past.

Mannering is a better option IMO

wonder what the TAB odds will be. I definitely feel we are a long shot in this one.

That must have been one hell of a nightmare for the Warriors to score -2 points in the last 9 minutes.

Replays must of shown Maloney missed the conversion yet the touchies both put their flags up at the 71st min, video ref stepped in at the 72nd min :D:crazy:

i like having omar on the bench. both lock and manu are injurie prone. manu's just coming back from injurie so maybe he wont be able to last the whole game. wasn't manu training at centre in the off season so maybe he might get some time their he just needs to hold the ball and run non of our other centre pass. or you could bring omar on at about the 30 minute mark and move lock up to hooker for ten minutes.
