No good news today, Wenty went down to Cronulla 26-14. Apparently we were outmuscled and outenthused, players thought it would be an easy game but Rip Taylor had told them what to expect and they now reckon he is going to "rip" into them

Blake Green had a good game for Cronulla, Stagger said not too much report from the Wenty side, he will no doubt update when gets back online later.

Thanks for that, Delboy (and Stagger). The way Cronulla have been improving it was always going to be a toughy. Will look forward to hearing more later. Cheers.

fair to say one of the most dissapointing displays from the boys today against a team that were bigger and stronger and wanted to win more, they just didn't look switched on from the outset and lacked commiitment and discipline throughout the game particularly the first half.

Their big boys obviously identified Maloney and Mortimer as danger men as they were continualy harrased throughout the game and Green's kicking game continually turned our back three around. Blake was their best player and obviously saved a special game for us, the little bugger.

Maloney tried very hard as did O'Grady while Blaker, Lats, Cleaver and Alfie were our more committed forwards but just weren't good enough against a bigger more physical pack.

I hope alot of good comes out of today because they're still in this comp up to their eye balls but like last year, they need to start earning it.

btw, JB cup boys had strong win against the Southern Sharks with Tim Wynn, Brett Seargent and Luke O'Callaghan having strong games.

Sounds like Sharks U20s are coached in a similar vein to their NRL side. Harassing and getting under the skin of key players, being more hungry for the win and getting the two points.

Sounds like Hagan prepared them.

I think you meant the Cronulla cobras ;-) coached by Lance Thompson.

Good run-down on the game, thanks Stagger. Hopefully, as you suggest, a loss at this stage of the comp will do more good than harm.

yep Rip's obviously shaken the side up a bit from last week.

* Jono Wright moves into the right centre.

* Etu starts at right wing.

* Cleaver to start.

* Joey G named in the backrow.

* Brod moves from the frontrow to lock.
