This would of been a better logo had it been in the correct colours and had a footy at the bottom like the one reviled today.

not a fan of the name at all. I like Australian names or names which have meaning to the region.
Knights, Steelers, Rabbitoes, Magpies etc. I thought Reds was spot on.

I'm starting to warm to it. Although I much prefer names with a meaningful connection to the region, particularly animal names. I liked the Reds and thought it was perfect for the franchise, but I can see the benefits of the pirates.

Yep, because knights are so Australian and emblematic of the Hunter region, and Steelers is in no way American...

I don't mind it actually. Having said that i thought the reds name, logo and jersey looked spot on. I just hope we get a Perth team full stop....

Should be the Western Australian Wombats :sarcasm:

For me the best part of the name is the use of 'West Coast' sounds cool. Westside represent.

2nd worst name in Australian sporting history. The Melbourne Demons will forever hold the top spot. Pirates? Seriously? With the pirate skull and swords in the logo. That's not kid friendly, it will scare them if anything. Also west coast? Why are they copying the AFL? What's wrong with Perth Reds? It's perfect.
