What if Jarryd Hayne doesn't make the 49ers cut? Will he return to the NRL?

Watching it now at 1/2 time.

The Chargers mind you are starting without any of their 1st pick defensive players.

But all in all,if Hayne's jersey sells well, and the NFL's subscriptions warrant it,Hayne will make the final roster.

Just going by twitter, but sounds like he's doing the little things right in limited play time

I love how little things like leg tackles and catching a bouncing ball are all given so much focus. American Football really is all about the details isn't it. Every tiny gain seems to matter so much.

I don't know how to load a video in here but you absolutely have to see the footage of him laying out the defender who tries to take him over the sideline

None of the starters from either team play in the last game, most of these guys are the ones fighting for the final roster spots. Hayne has been getting a lot of the carries

I have doubted him from the start, but I must say he looks good enough to make the cut as a punt returner and will have a chance of getting some carries especially if there are a few injuries. Despite all the talk of his upright running style holding him back at RB I think a bigger issue is ball control, whilst it hasn't happened yet, the way he holds the ball could lead to a few fumbles.

Even allowing for our local bias Hayne is going well.

Considering he is still very new to the game, he is doing great.

I am far from an expert on the NFL, but they seem to be testing him in a variety of roles, partially to test his versatility and also to give him some experience.

You would have to think that he will keep improving for the next year or 2.

You would have to think he would make the 53 man squad, a lot of us will be disappointed if he misses out.

I am really enjoying watching him have a crack, if nothing else he has really put in.
At the same time, I am getting the impression that another player is going to find it hard to make the same transition in the same time frame.

It is probably the footy equivalent of watching Warney bowl.
Some guys have got the ability and more importantly the confidence to use that ability, but they a few and far between.

Hayne should make it, his versatility to play both sides on special teams is valuable. He probably won't be needed much, if at all on offense unless there are injuries to the RB's. Hyde is their RB1 and Bush seems like the 3rd down back in passing situations. Kendall Hunter is probably 3rd string so Hayne will be behind him on the depth chart

Duges wouldn't have made the cut.

There is nothing the special one cant do.

Funny isnt it.

Union buys League players thinking we'll start watching. No one watches.

ALF buy League players thinking we will all convert. No one watches.

Hayne goes to the NFL. We all watch.
