The Door - Another with Mads. Good movie about a bloke who kills his kid by not paying attention. Find a doorway to a parallel world where he can right things, or can he?

Damn, does Mads have the same financial issues as Nic Cage, and presumably Bruce Willis, he just pumps out films. Difference being the majority of his are good.

Most are just inexpensive stuff. I've got another 10 or so movies of his to go through. Really loving the pace of the films, and not Hollywood standard tropes.

Those who wish me dead

piece of crap- for what seemed like a basic 90s style action thriller it didn't make much sense. So many laughable, unconvincing scenes.

Run

Seventeen-year old Chloe has a host of health issues, a d is cared for by her single mother, Diana.

Not all is at it seems.

Really good film - tense, well-acted, and well-paced.

The Open House

Teenager Logan, and his mother, move into his aunt's holiday house - which is for sale - after a tragic event, and strange things start happening.

This was an interesting premise for a film, but it was just executed really poorly; the acting was fine, and there was genuine tension - but the film just didn't make sense.

Men and chicken. Dutch comedy with mads in it. Dutch aren’t known for their humour and this is a dialogue driven story that will have you smirking plenty. The whole story is ludicrous, but I was entertained.

The perfect host. - an old favourite if you dialogue driven movies that are a bit out there. Got the other half to watch it for the first time. She loved it as well.

David Hyde Pierce who plays the host just carry's this movie with an excellent performance. 2nd act is the best.

Every second movie I've watched lately has Morgan f**king Freeman in it. It's like he's made more movies than anyone else.

But no. Samuel L. Jackson is at the top of the list last time I looked.

Ugh...the Yanks remade "Oldboy"...it's currently on Netflix, and stars Samuel L. Jackson.

Why?

Can they not develop their own ideas?

"The Departed" was not half as good as "Infernal Affairs", and "The Ring" was a bland, lifeless remake of "Ringu" (which was terrific).

When will Hollywood stop stealing other ideas, and making them worse in their adaptations?

The difference being these guys are in mostly decent quality movies. Willis etc are pumping out direct to video (streaming today) rubbish.

TBF, everybody borrows everyone else’s ideas. It’s not just Hollywood.

Same as The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The original foreign movies tear Hollywood a new arsehole.

The Adam Project - Not f**king bad for a Netflix original film.

A really good cast with the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner & Zoe Saldana. Yet it was the young kid who I thought stole the show.

it’s a sci-fi flick where the science is a little sketchy at best but I think the relationship between the two adams and there dad is probably more of what makes the film.

it’s definitely worth a watch… a solid 7-8 out of 10.

Blood Red Sky

Plane hijack film, with a twist.

Different sort of concept, but it became a little formulaic, and generic, which is a shame.

The Hole In The Ground

A single mother, and her son, move into a new home in the Irish countryside, and the mother soon starts suspecting something isn't right with her son.

I really enjoyed this; it did become a little clichéd towards the end, but it was genuinely tense, and creepy.
