they did Martyrs. Gets 4.0 on IMDB and 9% on Rotten Tomatoes, compared to 7 and 64% for original
never heard of this, geez. They can't do shock unless its just straight out torture porn like hostel. Hollywood would remake something like Salo and STILL worry about offending target groups etc.

Can't really comment, hvaen't and won't watch it.

But not surprised.

It'd not just the movies like this that are too far out of their comfort zone, they cock up just about any remake they do of a foreign film.

Not a movie but I watched a pretty interesting doco on Binge called gaming wall street.

It's all about the reddit/wallstreetbets Gamestop stocks saga and the undercurrent of corruption on wall street.

It was pretty interesting and enjoyable.

I remember watching it all kind of happen live and again had fomo, just like not buying crypto 15 years ago or whatever lol

In The Shadow Of The Moon

A Philadelphia cop becomes obsessed with catching a serial killer.

Pretty cool story, and features a strong cast. I enjoyed it.

Old Boy (2013 US version)

Curiosity got the better of me.

Only good thing was seeing Elizabeth Olsen in the nude - the rest of the film was terrible.

The Adam Project - Not f**king bad for a Netflix original film.

A really good cast with the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner & Zoe Saldana. Yet it was the young kid who I thought stole the show.

it’s a sci-fi flick where the science is a little sketchy at best but I think the relationship between the two adams and there dad is probably more of what makes the film.

it’s definitely worth a watch… a solid 7-8 out of 10.
Gotta say, I'm pretty over Ryan Reynolds... i'll probably watch this though

First person I've ever heard say that comment.....and I 100% feel the same way about Ryan Reynolds.

I think you will find a lot of people know that Ryan Reynolds just really plays the one characters. Depends on the movie whether that will suit him.

I watched The Adam Project. Mildly entertaining. Not something I’d ever watch again. Reynolds does his normal humorous one liners in action scenes.

he’d be much better in proper comedic movies where they’d write the script to suit him.

I've watched two movies that differed from my expectations. I watched "Unfaithful" with Richard Gere thinking it would be shallow shit with some tits and ass. It was actually a VERY good movie.
I just finished watching "World War Z" expecting some zombie action. It was bloody boring and dull.

Free Guy last week and The Adam Project tonight. Both were ok, had a few laughs, glad I watched them, but I probably won’t bother watching either again.
I love the first 2 Deadpool movies and hearing this director is now doing Deadpool 3 doesn’t fill me with much confidence.

The Adam Project..

Started off with a nice 80's sci fi flick and i really did like how stupid it really was. The worst acted villain in history, super soldiers from the future that put star troopers to shame, Ruffalo's pretence at empathy, the use of science terminology that was just large enough to make us think..maybe they know what they are talking about. All in all a solid watch. 3 micro-fabulators out of 5 time lines. PS - Jennifer Garner. Is she human?

I watched a movie called "Ava" earlier. Bad reviews on imbd but I thought the movie was an absolute cracker. While reviewers get things wrong, the imbd ratings tend to be pretty spot on. They were badly off the mark this time. Chastain was brilliant, great story, never boring, wonderful support cast.....I thought it was fantastic. Chastain is becoming a bit of an Emily Blunt for me in that everything she seems to appear in turns to gold.

TBH I think IMDB is the worst way to decide whether to watch a movie (the old pre-voting BS that used to go on before they banned it shows that lots of users vote on things other than the quality of the movie itself). I had to look at the cast list to see whether I'd seen Ava, and can confirm I did and I liked it. Wasn't great, but a decent entry in the women do Taken bunch of movies out there. I too like Chastain which is odd because I'm not a fan of red heads normally.
