Who replaces Cappy?

Kearney was dealing with a basket case in Parramatta and was in my view unfairly maligned during his tenure there, but even so, there were serious questions around his competence. Way too much of a risk to even consider.

So it's a problem with the culture then? We keep coming back to that. If it is a culture problem, rather than the coach, how do we fix it?

If we knew that, we'd have a premiership by now.

I'm starting to think we will be like the Sharks. Never win.

Sharks culture seems good at the moment. They could have a shot at the prize this year, although my money is on the Cowboys going back-to-back.

My local team, Penrith, are 12th on the ladder with three wins from eight, like us. I don't believe anyone is overly-concerned. They know they're on the right track. Crucially, they haven't had a recent spell of poor coaching.

The difference between them and us right now is pretty stark. They'd put forty on us if we played that game at Penrith and not Ch.Ch.

What about our most successful coach - Daniel Anderson?

He's maybe useful as a clean-out guy but there are serious questions about his medium to long term man management skills. We saw the same pattern at both us and Parra with him.

Yeah. The Sharks are going pretty well considering their halves pairing wasn't rated here.

The Sharks are the opposite of us- a team of plodders and grafters who play to their limitations and drag the opposition down to their level and grind out wins. It's ugly but it works.

No, they both partnered Johnson.

Thought so.

Maloney was never going to stay once he started getting Origin mentions, and Townsend went back for compassionate reasons.

I'd have to give the club a pass on them.

That's their style, but that's also bullshit - yes they get into a grind - but look at that pack - Fifita, Lewis, Graham, Ennis and Gallen are not plodders... and Bird, Holmes, Barba...

They are a seriously talented team...
