Why do people hate Michael Ennis

Every player in the NRL should know what to expect from Ennis,he is going to needle and pester opposition players relentlessly.The NRL's stance on no punching allows players to provoke and niggle the opposition,knowing there is little fear or chance of a smack in the face for being a shit.If i was playing the last game of the year, losing heavily and was about to retire i wouldn't hesitate in smacking an opposition player who carries on like a shit because he thinks he cant be touched,sooner or later this is going to happen !

Somewhat in Ennis's defence, he has been pestering, sledging and provoking players a lot longer than the instant bin for throwing a punch came in to play, so it isn't like he has actively changed his style to take advantage of it.
Given that I severely dislike the dives he takes but I enjoy a little bit of cheekiness between players, after all it isn't like we as fans don't give opposition fans a little cheek from time to time, all in good fun.

I recall the outrage that Cam Smith missed the 08 GF because he immersed himself in dirty grappling tactics. At the time, he had also immersed himself in signing a pair of contracts. So really, doesn't this club continue to get all that is coming to it?
