    Shades of 2001.....

Really? LOL. Just think what the boys could do if he wasn't there at all. ;-)

    94: The Song Thread

I know, sportive. I've always loved it. I was listening to the movie soundtrack version of it though. I think I love it even more now. :) (Sigh. I didn't read the first page, did I? Sorry guys. I stuffed up. I thought this was a listening-to thread. )

    Luke Burt

I agree with you, Eels Dude. I had an epistle to post, but it mirrored your thoughts exactly. He is definitely a talent, but is not being given the opportunity to show it.

    Shades of 2001.....

Mongrel, minus the brain explosions that lead to penalties! I wonder what B.Smith said to the boys at half-time. It's a pity he couldn't bottle it, and pass it around at the beginning of every match.

im sick of all the gross criticism of our team!

Even though there hasn't exactly been a lot to jump up and down about lately, IMHO some of the criticisms aimed towards the players have been a little harsh. Maybe last weekend's efforts will be the wake-up call the team needs, and things will turn around from here? It's not too late for that...

I was so sad to hear this. Rest well, Chippy.

    Big Bro: Gretel Killeen

I'm going to Hell in a handbasket. I watched it. BUT - only Sunday's show. :) I thought it was quite a nice dress she was almost wearing.

    ALIAS? Best show on TV?

Me too, Mark. I'm hearting Channel 7 right now, for airing it twice a week. It's feeding my addiction quite nicely thank you. :)

    Bottom Line...

Coulda >> I meant that lying about the wallet was proven to be a lie - and as such, should be separated from the sweeping judgements about her credibility as a person. One issue has been proven, and goes against her word. All it means is that she lied about the wallet and why she went to the...

    Bottom Line...

Allegations and the whole affair aside - I don't agree with this. I don't think that what this young woman has done in the past, should have anything to do with what may or may not have happened on the morning in question. Lying about the wallet is a separate issue altogether. A person's sexual...

    The Mystery 7th Player/Witness

You would have thought that if there had been any disproving to do - he would have been on the Police Station doorstep, with bells on. By not even doing that, there is a huge question mark dangling over everything.

    Justice system worked: Carr

Unfortunately, we will never know. I don't think that's a very positive outcome at all.

    It was rape, say police

Not true. Because of "lack of evidence", there was not a case to be answered to - therefore guilt or non-guilt is not an issue. Nobody has been cleared of anything. In a way - going to trial and being found "not guilty" would have been the better scenario. Now, the club and its players are...

    NEWSFLASH! - Bulldogs cleared

Indeed. If the young woman has hired a barrister and is going to pursue this as a civil suit, it is going to be become even more ugly for the club. The "lack of evidence" outcome is not a quick fix. This is far, far from over.

    It was rape, say police

Yet another highly publicised (failed) case that is going to make it even harder, mentally and physically, for alleged rape victims to be brave enough to pursue the course of "justice". This was quite unbelievable reading. What sort of evidence is actually needed? Just so that next time it...

    The ref is......

I like him too. Ego-less and feet-on-ground are always good traits - especially in a Ref!
