Is it just me or do the knights seem to have a "no forward pass call" deal with the referee's?

i saw it first hand against canberra, saw parts of it last week and tonight all game... they are throwing 8 or so of them a game that NEVER get called, Buderus is a shocker for them!

The knights easily accounted for parramatta 5-1 in the forward pass stakes

Spot on, withers is rubbish and is a morale for at least 4-5 forward passes a game. But at least the refs pull him up on some of them... the knights could have had 10 odd forward passes called against them tonight. I cant recall one

On the plus side for the Knights, our 1 6 7 9 are playing great and that's something hopefully the boys will take away from the game.

Mate I know your upset as am I over such a heartbreaking loss.. but you have to congratulate Parra for their win. In the end they did the little things right to get in position to win.

You are right about us being in this comp... 3 really good performances and the last 2 against 2 of the heavyweights. Especially taking them to golden point, great effort in itself.

We will improve a lot in the upcoming weeks.. was always going to be hard to gel with a new side early on so to get 2 wins and a heartbreaking loss in GP isnt a bad start to a season. Mid season we will start playing to our abilities imo and see how we go then.

I am a die hard Eels fans and the Knights were the much better side on the night. Someone needs to give Riddel and Tim Smith a swift kick up the behind.

To say Archer had a shocker would be an understatement.


I think it is a pretty big call to call team pretenders after round 3. I think by round 8 - 9 we will know who the real deals are in season 2008.

Anyways Knights fans have alot to look forward to this year. I wonder how long it take Brian Smith to go from Villian to Hero this year?

A Knights try got called back in the first 5 minutes for a forward pass.

we were all over them like timmah on a seafood buffet. we shot ourselves in the foot - numerous times.

sorry, wasn't impressed with the eels. is that a crime now? I expected us to get touched up tbh - but I thought that we didn't get outplayed and beaten - we thoroughly outplayed them and lost it.

Put Cross and Simmo back in to that team, and get the boys some superglue, and we can beat anyone.

I feel bi-polar at the moment - im heartbroken by the loss, but very positive about our team.

Disappointed with the result obviously, but very happy with how we played. Our attack looked very good, and the Eels looked flat with ball in hand.

We're lacking a good prop at the moment, as well as a back-rower. Luckily Cross and Simpson both fit the bill nicely, not to mention Sargent.

Thats fair enough mate .. imo we were the better team but at crucial stages we coughed up some ball, especially at the end. They controlled it and won. Better days ahead for our boys though..

Same i wasnt impressed at all how the Knights played thought they would have come out more prepared against the old coach and having won 2 on the trot, ah well the better side lost must mean the eels can play sh*t load better and the Knights have no chance...:lol:

Tim Smith picked up where he left off, I don't know how he stays in the top grade. I'm just thankful it's not at my club. Although having Feleti Mateo may lesson that pain a bit, awesome game by him again.
