this list is a combination of selections that were either never going to work, or horribly misusing a player. Freddy’s problem as a coach is he tries to prove he’s an amazing coach by doing outlandish things, compare this to Mal in Qlds golden era where he just stuck to what worked. Had Fittler been in charge of a team that good he would have stuffed around with his selections.

Had we had a coach like Hasler from 2018 we would probably be shooting for 6 straight, instead we are looking at splitting those 6 series 3/3.
Not to mention the list is incorrect.

McLean was set to replace Haas in Game III last year only to be ruled out with injury. In the end Jacob Saifiti came into the squad and had one of his better games.

Talakai played both Games II and III last year.

I wonder how many of those changes were made because the first choice player was unavailable? Staggs only came in because neither Turbo or Latrell were available, Jake would have been there ahead of Pangai Jr if he didn't hurt his calf etc.

You f**king imbecile! Hahaha. He'll choke like he always does in big games. Reynolds & Walker should've been picked.
How is Cody Walker any better in big games than Mitchell Moses? Honestly both are about as bad as each other as far as big game records go.

Jarome Luai cops all sorts of shit but he has played in the past 3 grand finals, winning 2 of them. And led Samoa to a World Cup final. He was also the 6 in the most dominant blues winning series ever.

That said I wouldn't have had Luai near the Blues 6 this year. Hynes for kine would have got it. But he kinda shit the bed when Origin arrived and has also never really won a big game as a half.

Young played well, his only mistake being a knock on - and he wasn't on his own there. His shape in attack was excellent and set up Martin's try, and he defended well and got under Gilbert's and DCE's skin.

Although if Liam Martin and Cameron Murray are available, given the form they're in, they should be the starters.
Young wasn’t on when Martin went over

Is Hynes record still like three wins vs top eight sides as starting half back?

Moses may like a slope but Nicho needs a full ski ramp.

Luai was the 6 in 2000?

In the words of Gus - Freddy is looking tired.

Your right that press conference was utter nonsense and showed Freddy is feeling every bit of the pressure atm.

He & Brandy are too busy whinging about the lack of support they get from the media instead of worrying about picking the right team and getting the job done.

Coach: Bradley Scott Fittler "Freddy"
Arseistant Coach: Paul McGregor "Mary"
Selectors:
Gregory Peter Stephen Alexander "Brandy"
Danny Buderus "Bedsy"
Andrew Gary Johns "Joey"

There you go. Every f**king nickname of the tools at the helm of this NSW side ends in a "y". And that is no surprise, because the only question anyone wants to ask them is "why". Why are you making the same mistakes, why was Mary appointed, why do you f**k up game one selections, why do you have to select an obscure player each year, why do you change your mind on the 14 selection so drastically, why does the NSWRL appoint these dropkicks.

Mitch "flat track" Moses is Fittler's token WTF selection for this game.

Also showing off his peak IQ with a specialist outside back as 18th man. Clearly Burton or Hynes would give us more options there if activated then Crichton.
Actually think Crichton covers quite a few options
If centre or wing is out he goes straight in
If fullback is out Lattrell or Turbo moves back and Crichton comes in. Worst case is if 6 is out then Lattrel could go to 6 and Crichton to centre

Hynes could only cover a half or maybe fullback while Burton would cover halves, centre or fullback with one of the centres moving back

All pressure on QLD with the series well and truly lost.

A win by NSW in this game would be one of the greatest in Origin history. And would cement Mitch Moses position as the 4th or perhaps 3rd best halfback in the NRL.
