Individually I thought most of the Blues players did ok. The stats also back that up, sadly it aint an individual game.
Freddy just didn't make it work with whatever it was they were trying to do.

Moses and Luai both had some nice moments, but no one was on the same page, shit kick chase, no support, it was bizzare.

Playing Yeo as the point of attack needs to stop now. He keeps his spot, but go sparingly on the amount of ball he gets, his defense is first rate and hit ups are fine, but let the halves be halves.
Watching the Blues was like watching the Tigers. Soft defending our line, clueless when on the attack. Otherwise they more than held their own. Keep in mind we are looking at back to back wooden spoons, and you’ll see it’s not a winning strategy.

No there's not. Is that you Freddie for your game 3 team?

Yes yes we get it TiGeR fAn HaTe MoSeS but we've tried the running retreads like Kung Fu Cody and Eshay Luai and lost so who's your pick?

I'd love if Moses or the rest of our blokes ever got an Origin again so they can play for us instead anyway

Seriously all he did last night was just kick the ball up in the air..

The big difference was that Qld had organisation and discipline. The 6 and 7 were pulling the strings and the rest of the team just did their jobs. NSW had no one calling the shots and like in recent games played like they had just met each other before the game (which is more or less the case). Mostly that is down to the coaching and selections. Fingers crossed this is Fittler's last series. Tedesco is also done at this level.

NSW just woeful again. Fitler well and truly out of his depth.
Strange selections, cowardly selections, no obvious style, terrible (or zero) in-game reactions, terrible use of rotations…..
They played like the Sharks do against good teams - still tried to sling it wide and go around them, with zero craft in the middle of the pitch….
Some players in that NSW team are very good NRL players (in very good NRL teams with great structures), but don’t translate to origin. Yeo is the greatest example - it just doesn’t work in Origin, and he’s far too nice. Haas is awesome, but he’s not an enforcer, he doesn’t have them scared for their safety - Haas needs to be supported by a couple of meat head middles who have QLD worried - instead he’s got the lovely fella Yeo who’d not say boo to a goose, big Stefano who’s just meh, and plodder Paulo.
The big thing is efforts off the ball - Chrichton break - entire QLD team got back onside to defend, NSW didnt have anywhere near the same attackers. The Hammer lucky bounce try - Haas is the only Blue who’s chased back, all the others stopped chasing back once the break was made (could be seen on the replay players just trotting back).
Filters first season, he made a big thing about picking ‘on form’, but he’s fallen for the same trick that Daley fell for, falling in love with certain players, far too much focus on both ‘club connections’ and ‘incumbency’, rather than just picking the players who can get the job done, in the style you want to play.
Just shit, really really shit, all round.
