2024 Preseason and Draw discussion thread

Like the Broncos should have anything to complain about.

They literally had 3 games in Sydney last season. Had an extra 2 games at Suncorp got Souths at the Sunshine Coast, us at Darwin.

They will probably still get 15/16 Friday night games.

Looking at the Broncos draw got NFI what they have to whinge about.

12 primetime games on a Thursday/Friday Night.

Why? Again? I understand you need to beat the best to be the best, but a mere two points can make a whole heap of difference come finals. I’m peeved (yet again)……

I think it's just a symptom of the fact that the Eels (and Souffs) draw big ratings and channel 9 (and Fox) want those sorts of teams playing against other good sides more often to attract maximum eyeballs on screen....

f**k knows what will happen if we ever win a GF....we'll probably have to play everyone 3 times!!!!

Im pretty chuffed. Got a cruise booked and will only miss the Pennys Away Game. Karma for being such a nice dude I reckon.

Only miss 1 home game next year. Last one against St George.

Fly out for a wedding in the UK on the 26th August so will be away for 4 weeks back on the 24th September which is Tuesday before Prelim weekend hopefully we are still kicking deep into September.

If we make the finals no week 2 exits next year please BA.

Dolphins will be stronger next year. I think they will challenge the 8.

Storm are on the decline i reckon it was more of the fact the rest of the comp was pissweak to take advantage of it last season.

Souths are a lottery not sure what will happen there coach is under the pump though.

At the end of the day its more what the other sides get that concern me. You never win a comp with a soft draw. But teams can get into finals that don't deserve too with one.

Sharks finished higher then Souths. Avoiding them at Shark Park is a good thing. Also avoiding Cowboys up North is a good thing. That's two very difficult games no matter the form of the side.

The Titans before origin is a good thing.

We only have 3 games that are a 5 day turnaround.

I think we win on the Byes and when they are happening. It would suck to have one in the first 6-7 weeks really. Round 9 is almost perfect. I like having a soft start to the year which I think we get. No reason we shouldn't be 6/8 then the bye. Puts you in good shape. We also finish with two games we should win so that to me is a possitive.

Now that is brutal. 7/8 very strong sides.

Penrith round 2 is a decent time to play them.

They would still be warming up plus they are travelling back from UK for world club challenge - 11 days before Round 1 basically.

So there might be still some aftereffects from that. They haven't done that before so thats another challenge for them to overcome.

And in the regular season anyway we seem to bring our best against them. If we jag a win at penrith there is no reason as you say we shouldn't be 6 wins from 8 i reckon heading into the Bye.

The Storm one is dumb shows that the people in Victoria have NFI about the NRL.

Our one is taking the piss out of the other teams.

Reminds me of when I was eating at a Cafe in Perth a few years ago, I with my Brother in Law who was in a Souths Jersey and the waiter came over to take our order and said 'Oh are the Rabbits in town, who are they playing the Force?' too make it funnier this was like two years after the Force had been kicked out of Super Rugby.
