Oh well at least the pitch will be a road from here on in...........
Have you been ignoring the analysis? They're saying the grass will die.

The pitch wasnt as tough in the 2nd hour as it was in the 1st. It'll be better again in the 2nd session. It'll be great to bat for us.

And Hallatia, he's gone off to do other things for Channel 9.

Called it. Sun is out again, baking that pitch. Batsmens paradise for our innings. That was a crucial toss to win.

it takes time to die but there will still be a fair amount of growth above the surface which means it will still do something as its still a bit uneven

atm there is heaps of growth above the surface which is why its so uneven

If I was BunniesMan I would probably kill myself, as everything I'd say or do does nothing but prove I'm a moron and bring down the average intelligence of humankind, Australians, New South Welshman, NRL fans, Cricket fans and any other group of people I choose to associate myself with.

Who cares? He's always been shit.
I only just noticed he was gone, even though he mustn't have been around for the last test either. My mum hates him as a commentator even though she liked him as a player.

I like all the commentators, they're voices have become synonymous with the Aussie Summer for me, they are awfully full of crap though. I like their voices I don't particularly care for their actual commentary though haha.

The Kiwis should reverse their batting order (while leaving Martin at 11). Their lower order has given us issues every innings and bats smarter than their top 6.

Either that OR OR OR....BM was right as usual. The pitch is getting less and less troublesome.

really not sure why Lyon is bowling so many overs atm

he's not our best wicket taking option on this pitch imo

Yes the ball does tend to get softer as the innings goes on.

Brownlie should probably bat 3 for these jokers. He is the only one who has a clue and he is an Aussie. Starc has bowled some pearls but gee most of what he bowls is genuine rubbish.

I think it's perfect for New Zealand to keep Brownlie batting at six, because he can offer some much needed redemption to an otherwise terrible batting innings. There is a list of very capable bastmen ahead of him, but for all their capabilities, they can bat quite stupidly.

There are too many in their top 5 that are prone to brain explosions. McCullum, Ryder, Taylor, Guptill are all a bit like that.

It's been their problem for years. Astle, McMillan, Vincent were similar.

Whatever happened to BJ Watling? He looked to be a fairly steady openor that they could have used.
