Khawaja is into his 6th test and has 1 significant innings to his name. Hughes, with all his well known flaws has done more in that same period. Now imagine his potential with those flaws fixed.
And like I've said many times, I'm not a Khawaja hater, I'd have him in my 11 as well, but if one of them has to be dropped first, it simply can't be Hughes. Flaws and all he's done more than Khawaja has in recent tests.
And both of them should be picked ahead of Ponting and Warner when Watson/Marsh come back.
If Hughes' batting technique is so bad (and it is) what the f*ck is Justin Langer getting paid for?

He's too good for that level. Even with those flaws he still murders nuffy bowlers at state level on pedestrian pitches. He's not going to fix his technique at first class level.problem is they are not fixed and in my opinion he should go back to first class cricket to fix them
But the problem is he isn't making poor scores because he is shit. He's making poor scores because of specific flaws in his game that he needs coached out of him. After this test there's two weeks till the next one. If he had the right coach in with him he could solve all his problems and have enough time to enjoy Xmas before the boxing day test.bottom line is he cant stay in the team if he keeps making single figures

THAT would be a preferable option to dropping him for someone less talented.
Wait wait a batsman reaches test level and needs someone to fix his grip... shouldn't you have that figured by about, oh i dunno, age 13?
Drop the merkin
Which proves that route doesn't solve the problem. We need someone who knows what they're doing brought in to help him.he was already dropped once and still he came back with same problem
tard
He debuted for NSW at around 18. He's made 16 shield centuries. His technique has worked at every level of the game until he got to test cricket. He didn't change things then because all those flaws gave him mountains of runs.Wait wait a batsman reaches test level and needs someone to fix his grip... shouldn't you have that figured by about, oh i dunno, age 13?

Test cricket is a higher level than those, I think it is pretty simple.Which proves that route doesn't solve the problem. We need someone who knows what they're doing brought in to help him.

And he doesn't need Justin langer in his headspace. That couldn't help anyone
LOL just conveniently leave the 10 failures that precede the other 6 failures with a 2 of good scores thrown in to suit your incredibly weak argument. The simple facts are in the last year almost to the day he's made 2, 12, 16, 23, 13, 12, 28, 36, 0, 126, 9, 9, 88, 11, 10, 7, 4 which is an average of 23 and is nothing short of pathetic in anyone's language. Even yours
