There are a few illogical aspects of this argument

1. Apparently the fumblers are wasting their money and it is failing but we need another side to counter them. Having to argue for another side there would suggest that it is working.
2. If we put in another side, we are going to kill them. See the 9 League sides in Sydney and the Swans
3. If we do the same thing in expanding to other markets, it will fail like the fumblers. You have to forget about point 1 though.
Gill McLaughlin the hero to many on this forum said afl will be taking over in qld

maybe we are wrong and he is right since you all worship him so brisbane 3 will be insurance

lmao

You seem more obsessed with him than anybody else.

The statement he made was a ridiculous one and probably one of the most inane comments anybody has made.

You should write fiction

oh wait you already do

He is right. The rhetorical device he refers to has been used on multiple occasions throughout history.

Look at how many empires and despots have made the seemingly conflicting argument prior to going to war that they are so weak that we can crush them but we have to do it now otherwise we will be overrun.

So why is he lieing

Just like he lied on the tv deal which you believed

It is a bit hard to lie about a financial statement with the two parties that were party at that said deal in a press conference.

The thing with conspiracy theories is there has to be a reason why all parties are in on that conspiracy.

So I guess you have to ask yourself why would Foxtel and Channel Seven pretend to have signed a deal that is worth more than what they have actually signed?

Whatever his feelings about the Dolphins are the argument about another Brisbane side and its impacts on fumbleball are literally a contradiction. He is right about that.

You won’t see the true figures for years

plus he didn’t disclose the extra content he has to provide like magic round and another team

given his lies on qld afl the smart thing to do is just assume he’s a huge liar until new evidence comes along

Again though why did Channel Seven and Foxtel sit side by side with him whilst he lied. They have shareholders for example who wouldn’t take too kindly to them pretending that they spent more than they actually did.

Furthermore, a code like ours can now point to the fact that they have spent this amount of money on fumbleball and if they are competent put pressure on them to pay a whole lot more. Again that is not in the best interests of say Fox is it?

Remember when I told you people didn’t support the dolphins entry

Sure but that doesn’t mean he isn’t right about the contradictions in that particular argument.

People on this forum seem fixated on what somebody said on a topic that is completely seperate to the one being discussed.

The original press release from foxtel was for one. Billion less headline figure

I’m sure FoxSports know how much they paid for the rights

take out the contra and the extra content and it Was an average result

I don’t care what argument different people use for brisbane 3

If a lie about afl taking over helps get it across the line all the better

karma for lieing

So why did they just sit there whilst the fumblers announced that the deal was worth $600 odd million a year? If the amount was wrong they wouldn’t just sit there and smile away. As you said the principal negotiators know what deal they signed.

The conspiracy doesn’t really make much sense. It is not benefiting anybody other than the fumblers is it?

Fair enough, but I wouldn’t make that argument. Just because it is a stupid argument.

Because of the. Telstra contra which they valued at over 1 billion which is in addition to tv but worth basically one hundred milion

I'd be less concerned with the shareholders, and more concerned with ASIC considering market manipulation is illegal. Given their share price did get a boost, it'd be hard to argue that lying about the deal was done for any reason other than a bump in the share price.

Well there you go. They did something illegal in that case.
