I couldn’t care less about the celebrating a good footy try or supporting his mates in a grand final, to me that just makes him a decent fella, the one and only reason he should not be playing in the top side is his form on the paddock, and in light of the way the Tigers have been travelling I can’t see a reason he should not be playing NRL.

I don’t agree with ‘blooding’ young kids in a side that is continuously losing either, trying your guts out and getting flogged every week is no way to build confidence or a winning culture. There’s a bunch of guys there that should be winning the odd footy game, let them bear the brunt of their actions. Wait til they win one or two before throwing new fellas in, unless their inclusion is gonna win us a game, and we all know it’s the link between the forwards and the backs plus shitty execution that’s killing the Tigers atm.
The reason Laurie hasnt played is because Sheens cannot stand anyone showing even a glimpse of what he sees as disloyalty eg Lauries antics and Hasting flying up north to a game to support the boys of his own accord ..Sheens is old school where being seen to be obeying 100% without exception is the only option..…He doesn’t see players sometimes just having misplaced egos.. He misses the point that the players with the egos can be the players who will make a positive difference to the season..a good serious talking to and some kind of punishment eg Brandon Smith training by himself at the storm after his wayward “We will win a grand final at the roosters” comment is the way now and usually all it takes..anything that doesn’t take them off the field for long periods!! Everyone likes a warning or 2 before the final blow.. This is where Sheens and Madge are similar ie cutting off is the first option, getting a constructive telling off is way down on the list. Sure it means Sheens wins the battle, but the war? 0 and 6

To be fair his form on the paddock has been awful for a long time. And his stint in reggies didn't set the world on fire either. He's in the team now, let's see if he actually fires up.

Supporting the opposition teams whilst Tigers are playing is a gross look.

Supporting other teams doing well against the one that pays you is like buying the bloke that f**ked your mates wife a beer.

I hadn’t checked. lauries only playing coz AD isn’t.. AD out is the biggest stroke of luck Sheens has had all year…I’m picking Laurie to kill it in the halves.. Sheens knows it’s irresponsible not to have a replacement for Brooks now

Bula ain’t ready, more likely Sheens kills his career before it starts.

Then again I said Tupou would suck and he scored a screamer 7 mins into his debut

This is the game that plays manly into premiership contending form.
I’d love to know what Daine Laurie has done to be fifth in line for the fullback throne, I mean this is the Tigers,
he can’t be going that badly
I had more confidence in Moltzen under a high ball. Lacks the size to be a quality fullback in the year of our lord 2023

I really don’t get it ..If sheens thinks Laurie’s good for the halves, he’s had all the time in the world to have a good look at him at training at 6 ..He should know by now !!! but no he’s putting him back to reserve grade this weekend to have a look at him at 6? ..Where’s the urgency ? and Brooks remains at 6 in the top side, losing games hand over fist single handedly. Sheen's: “We’re a bit skinny in the halves…” omg.

I have to admit the highlights of Bula were underwhelming for the high praise he received from Sheens. Who knows what pushes Sheens buttons tho, perhaps effort at training and adoration more than skill?

This is the most frustrating thing. Sheens playing musical chairs in the spine and not letting combinations develop. He is making it up as he goes and hoping some shit will stick.

Doueihi trains all preseason at 5/8 and then gets moved to fullback (along with a ridiculous comparison to Latrell) and as expected gets completely found out. Kepaoa starts the season as a backrower, and then is moved into the backline - is it any wonder he was targeted by Moses with grubber kicks? Now we got Laurie moving to 5/8 despite not having any of the skills or leadership required to guide the team around.

And we have another 1.5 years of this clown in charge.

Like is I said I don’t give a shit about a bloke applauding good footy, as for it being a gross look, how about the tigers have a look and see how it’s done, the Brisbane try was a great example. Don’t be so frigging precious is what I say. Friggin Prima donnas everywhere, sooks and sycophants, stop whining, man up and play some friggin hard footy.

Stop bending over for players who aren’t performing, tell them how it is, piss them off back to state cup or group footy there’s always someone willing to give it their best shot and they wouldn’t even ask for obscene amounts of money to get a crack.

Sick of seeing a team worth $10m come out and get beat every bloody week, unable to convert 20 tackles in the oppositions 20 in to tries, and then listening to those in charge give every excuse under the sun for losing.

Generally the same old shit. He was surprised by the attention that Bulla is getting, he was the one that started it back in preseason (I think).

Though he does state (bar Naden) this is the side he wants, barring injuries, I guess that means if you aren’t in the squad, you should be thinking about looking elsewhere?

BTW, he said earlier in the season, they would be assessing who was staying and who was going during the bye round, but nothing mentioned as yet, unless you take above as being part of that?

You’re right, he did start all the chatter about Bula and stuff and he’s belting on about him for months.

Unless he’s a nico clone and can fix our attack, his impact will be measured. Fingers crossed he is.

As for being the side he wants, we get that every other week as part of the spin campaign to us village idiots.

Last weekend was the assessment weekend, but I think the players on their way haven’t been offered an extension yet. So it’s not rocket science, no shock and awe.
