Errors in the last 10 kept giving the Doggies a sniff but "dogged" defense kept them out. Enjoyed the game. There were a few errors but some impressive outings for some of the individual players.

Volkman is an excellent game manager. Super impressive.
Maiu'u is a really good prospect. Seems to tick all the boxes needed for a future first grade prop.
Gavet. Came on and really showed his experience. He was a monster each time he came on, but you can see the gas tank doesn't hold the volume it used to.
Berry made some good defensive reads and a try assist but looked a little rusty.
Taupiki was solid without startling.
Sifakula was a bit quiet, I thought?

Anyone else watch it?

The team looked strong especially on defence. The errors in the last 15 minutes were frustrating. Can see a level of resilience that is hopefully a sign of better days for the club

Great to watch the game live again. Maui’I needs to play first grade soon. Blokes pretty good.

gavet wouldn’t look outta place back up in the top grade either. Doggies were top of the table aswell.

This weeks team. It will be interesting to see how they go without Volkman steering the ship. Good chance for Doyle though. Nice to see Aukustino back too. He impressed last time out.

Really sounds like our depth in the forwards is way beyond what we dreamed of pre-season when we were all worried about our first grade propping situation. If we’ve got the likes of Maiu’u and Gavet in the wings that’s a good thing

Generally doesn't seem to be a problem to get that if you have enough injuries, which is the reason we'd need to.
