White? That bloke hasn't even played FG this year?

As for Gidley at lock, I don't think Gidley is quite the defender he was a few years ago, he was also heavier a few years ago, i'm sure.

If Mason and O'Meley are in the team... Jesus. Two huge myths right there. When's the last time O'Meley had a game worth noting? That guy is massively overrated. I'm glad people forgot about him long ago.

Mason... He's nothing and has never performed at Origin level outside of one game I can remember. All through last years series he talked himself up and delivered nothing. He's been average at club level and isn't even starting anymore.

We've got backrowers a plenty. Mason shouldn't even be in the mix.

I don't believe they're considering Gidley at five eighth....even biased Newcastle fans don't rate him there...

I wouldn't mind seeing
1 Gidley
2&5 Stewart and Monaghan
6 Campese
7 Wallace or Pearce
13 Anasta

if only so it stops them putting Gidley in the halves

Gidley played 5/8 for Newcastle with Joey next to him for years and was sh*thouse at it. If they want to throw game 1 away picking him in the halves, they might as well play John Morris as his halves partner.

Kite in for Mason, Anasta in for Gallen, and I pretty much agree...

That team has too much Mason, Gallen and Cooper in it, and would be stronger if you switched Hayne and Monaghan around. I also don't understand why you have Sutton on the bench - either pick another prop or pick a utility, not a 5/8-backrower.

Fitting Gidley and Stewart in like that isn't a bad idea though...

1. Gidley
2. Stewart
3. Monaghan
4. Jennings
5. Hayne
6. Campese
7. Wallace
8. Kite
9. Farah
10. Bailey (c)
11. Stewart
12. Laffranchi
13. Sutton/Mateo

14. Campbell (utility) or Poore (prop)
15. Tupou
16. Weyman
17. Creagh

That's a stronger team IMO

my side based upon form and experience

1.Stewart
2.Monaghan
3.Jennings
4.Cooper
5.Williams
6.Campese/Barrett
7.Wallace/Orford
8.Kite
9.Farah
10.Perry
11.Gallen
12.Lafranci
13.Stewart

14.Galloway
15.Creagh
16.Douglas/Mateo
17.Gidley

Cant pick the halves to hard, anasta has been tried and failed, he is garbage, pierce i believe to young and inexperienced one for the future though, mullen had not done anything this year which puts him in calculations

skeepe's team:

1. Brett Stewart
2. Josh Morris
3. Michael Jennings
4. Joel Monaghan
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Terry Campese
7. Peter Wallace
8. Luke Bailey
9. Robbie Farah
10. Brent Kite
11. Anthony Watmough
12. Ben Creagh
13. Alan Tongue

14. Kurt Gidley
15. Anthony Laffranchi
16. Ben Cross
17. Michael Weyman

I think you are pretty close to the side they will go with. As a panther supporter, I would like to see Luke Lewis on the bench as a utility player. I would also consider throwing Chris Lawrence on a wing instead of Quinn. I think Lawrence is all class.

My NSW Team

1. Stewart
2. Hayne
3. Jennings
4. Cooper
5. Monaghan
6. Campese
7. Wallace
8. Bailey
9. Farah/Ennis
10. Kite
11. Hindmarsh
12. Laffranchi
13. Gallen

14. Gidley
15. Tupou
16. Weyman/Mason
17. Creagh/Heighington

NSW selectors are clueless if they pick Kurt in the halves. Campese/Wallace MUST be the halves combination imo. I wouldn't have a problem with Ennis being picked over Farah, both provide an extra kicking option. Michael Jennings is just the type of player we need in the centres, he can create things out of nothing.

TBH, Aubusson is the only selection I can completely disagree with. The rest have at least some merit.

Aubusson is the only Rooster who even remotely deserves rep honours. He's f**ked his back so close that book anyway.

I think this team wins the series:

1. Giddley
2. Stewart
3. Hayne
4. Cooper
5. Monaghan
6. Campese
7. Wallace
8. Kite
9. Farah
10. Weyman
11. Stewart
12. Laffranchi
13. Gallen

14. Sutton
15. Mason
16. Bailey
17. Creagh

LOL

No

Sutton on the Bench? How about, no? Sutton starts or he doesn't play at all.

Stewart moves out of fullback to accomodate a player who isn't better than him at fullback? More fail

Willie Mason? HA!

1. Stewart
2. Lawrence
3. Jennings
4. Josh Morris
5. Williams
6. Campese
7. Wallace
13. Sutton
12. Stewart
11. Watmough
10. Kite
9. Farah
8. Payten

14. Laffranchi
15. Gibbs
16. Weyman
17. Gidley

Luke O'Donnell for 18

I honestly don't care if that team wins, atleast it would show the difrection they're heading is the future

Fitzgibbon, Barrett, Hindmarsh, O'Meley, Mason, White, Cross, Hoffman, Bailey (LOL why is he being named?) Hornby, Gallen, Cooper.....they've all had their time and they've done nothing for 3 years. However, I think all of them bar O'Meley, Mason and Fitzy will be selected.

i still think stewart could be great on the wing if he played a nathan blacklock-esque game. let him rove... it worked for the dragons. can you imagine gidley and stewart both running around causing trouble? you also have the flexibility to move stewart back to fullback and gidley into another position at the drop of a hat (in case of injury, resting hooker, etc). you could almost leave out the bench utility altogether in this case and run with 4 forwards on the bench, or a true impact benchy rather than a utility. gidley also has the ability to drop into first and second receiver every now and then to relieve pressure from our inexperienced halves combo.

i think 1. Gidley 2. Stewart is very worth exploring.

put michael jennings inside monas and piss hayne off altogether (do you honestly think he deserves to play origin based on current form?) and piss off mason for a watmough or someone else with a bit of ticker and i would be more than happy to see that side run out.

i also don't believe robbie farah has the "heart" to be good in origin... when the chips are down that is... however i do think he's earned first crack at it.
