A couple of years ago Souths had a sponsor for their mouthguards. I found that most amusing as it takes 150 Souths folks to get a full set of teeth.

Like Moses, Blake and Matterson, very good players who tanked in order to join Parra. You can hardly blame people for remembering those efforts.

How? This is what I dont get with the whole Ivan narrative. I get it with Tigers fans as club bias can cloud things, but all Ivan did was inform them that he would be going to Penrith when his contract expired. The Tigers decided that was untenable in their eyes and marched him immediately. He was never given the chance to continue to either do the best job he could or tank.

Actually those signings that Ivan made were widely lauded by the W/T faithful. Yes they paid overs, but that's the need when your down the bottom of the NRL.

Reynolds got injured quite badly and then the rot set in.

Packer when coming across from Dragons was still playing well.

As others have said Ivan was prepared to see out his contract. W/T board especially Pascoe threw there toys out of the cot. The rest is history.

The facts don't look so interesting as the narrative the W/T faithful and sections of the media have designed, does it.

They shafted Potter as well iirc. I don't remember the details, just at the time I recall the consensus was he had been hard done by.
