I may be wrong but i don't think the run counts because he dropped the ball
So if you run 100metres and drop the ball over the try line you haven't actually run a centimetre in the stats?
Stupid.

I think it depends on which racial group the player identifies with. This is, after all, the casual racism thread.
I think that was uncalled for Baz.
Have you read the last 2-3 pages?
Judging players on their race, rather than their revealed ability and character is what I'd call racism.
We need good, well-motivated players, and I don't care if they come from Mars. If it turns out that buying good well-motivated players changes the ethnic balance of our team, so be it, but the point shouldn't be to hire players on a racial profiling basis.

Perhaps, but I don't think me making a comment on statistics being stupid if they don't count the run metres if a player then makes an error, needed to be bought up as part of that theme of conversation
The world is getting silly
In what respect?
That someone suggests that you shouldn't make hiring decisions players based on players race, and that you just consider their footballing skills and revealed attitude?
Obviously I've become some sort of tree hugging hippy.
What do you mean "become"?
Don't forget, you're also a fascist. Pou said so.
Suity
It has to be balanced, good teams have a good mixture of both in key positions also.
LOL, and you wanted to be in charge of the club. Luckily no one voted for you otherwise we would have had a ban on signing too many players because they are of a certain ethnic background. You are a dead set joke.
This was always going. Be a season with massive issues, when ta very selfish footballer who is by far abs away your best player, walks out without notice and no chance to recruit
Full back is such a crucial position and we see the results of the season from someone "chasing a dream at 26 years of age with no concern for his team mates", no excuse for the lack of leadership on field for 15 minutes ., but anyone who didn't see the damage that was left behind by JH is kidding themselves
Hayne's decision to go and chase an NFL deal has zero relevance to what happened at Parra Stadium last night IMO. If you've got a vendetta against Hayne fair enough, go and post all you like about it in a Hayne Haters Homepage thread all you like, but I don't see any point mentioning it this match thread.
The team were good enough to make the comp frontrunners look out of their depth for 50 minutes last night, all without JH who is long gone. They've clearly moved on, everyone else should too.
Like I have said many times before, too many Polynesians in the team. Semi for example is not a Polynesian. At least with Foran and Scott both coming, even though we have paid way to much, that is slowly being addressed by the coach. Once we get down to no more the 5 in the team, we may start to see sustained positive results.
Spot on.
Meanwhile those useless Polynesians are the current world champions.
Agreed. Our balance is out and has been for a while. I like the Broncos, Rabbits and Dragons balance for example.

Just wanted to say Parra supporters I feel sorry for you guys after that last night.
You guys must be wondering where the passion, pride and heart is!
Souths supporters went through it for years so we know what it's like.
Just try to be patient and you guys will come out the other side of all these tough times.
Your membership figures are very good which is great to see.
