Will there be any reprisal for those that were corresponding, texting etc with Flanno?
Sure he is guilty but are the others not also not guilty for consorting?
No idea mate. No clue who the correspondence was with.

About time a broom is put through the place and get rid of the stupid factions. It’s been the joints problem for like, EVER

Hopefully they sort it all quickly and you can get on with your season.
The longer they dilly dally the worse it will be for the fans and they after all are the lifeblood of the game and the club.

True that mate.

Frankly I’m over the club faction stuff and prefer to just support the players. Flanno will get what he deserves if he has indeed blatantly breached the terms of his suspension.

I just wish they would ban that tomato faced slothfied from being anywhere near the joint

They say he will be de registered by the NRL and they would have to re registered before he is allowed back.
OK he is a premiership coach but I would not want him here with us.

Interesting concept.

Flanno seems to be a thoroughly unlikable person who has had success and has a clue on how to coach FG.

mary seems to be a top bloke with no success and NFI on how to coach FG.

I can't stand either, so I'd go with the former. The coach will be hated in both scenarios, but at least we have a better chance of consoling with success.
The Club has acted so stupidly and prematurely with regards to ALL coaching appointments/decisions after Bennett.
They will have an opportunity either during 2019 (if Mary stuffs up) or towards the end of 2019 to go through a detailed and professional assessment of ALL coaches available to take the reigns at St. George.
Quite simply, we MUST pick the coach with the best credentials that is most likely to win a premiership.
If they decide to just pluck someone from obscurity or extend McGregor for more of the same, they are neglecting their duty to the club (in the broader sense) and especially the fans.

I'm afraid we might have missed the boat when it ocmes to the availability of top coaches. The time for change was pre season 2018 or at the end of season 2018. I believe the old boy clan have Dean Young in mind for head coach. Frankly that would be a disaster; Young should go to the ESL to further his experience.

You talk a heap of sense but if they are seriously considering Dean Young, the whole board needs to resign...now.
That would reduce our club to a joke because there are 2 glaring problems with appointing Dean Young.
1. His has a worse CV than McGregor had when he was appointed and it would herald in a 3rd rookie appointment in a row since Bennett.
2. The head coach that he is serving his apprenticeship under is Paul McGregor who is one of the worse coaches in the competition. What sort of mentorship can McGregor seriously offer Young??
If the Old Boy clan has such an iron clad grip on such critical decisions that the club makes, even after the change of ownership, then the future looks bleak.
I honestly hope you're wrong and that the Dean Young scenario is not already a back room done deal.

Hey Miller - always interested in your rational view on our rivalry. What's the go with the real estate development and why it hasn't turned Cronulla into the financial powerhouse as promised?
Up front money went straight to paying out the massive debt the club had. Most of the dollars come in from sales of the stage now being built, the retail area, hotel etc.

The club spent a motza on upgrading fit out in the leagues club last year, so that with paying out the mouth pisser and the few that went after them for the peptide debacle is also behind current cash issues.

They seriously need fresh heads with no ties to outside influence to get back on track.

Off season to end off seasons!
-Coach swaps and sackings
-Players acting up like idiots
-Players on physical assault charges
-Players on sexual assault charges
-Player release and swapping clubs
-Salary cap dramas
-Media anti NRL bias
-Boardroom dramas
-Fanciful TPA numbers
I don’t want to be an alarmist but is this the perfect storm?

No way Dean Young and Ben Hornby need to cut the strings and get out of the cradle of the Dragons - they’ve only ever known the Dragons and if they are serious about a coaching career need to go way for a few years..
