His performance and character will live on with the classics. It's a shame a stupid ending stuffed that film.

I'd have Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Sin City and Watchmen over the Avengers, while X-Men 2 and X-Men First Class probably equal. But I know a lot of people don't like Sin City or Watchmen.

The avengers will probably finish in number three behind titanic and avatar. It's sitting at about 1.3 billion, still roughly 1 billion behind those two, with ticket sales slowing down.

It's a sad indictment of the general movie-goer population that they are the top 3 highest grossing films of all-time.

Didn't really think much of Sin City...style over substance.

I enjoyed Kick Ass but I don't rate it as highly as The Avengers (who are my favourite comic characters after all).

Spiderman was solid but not as good as The Avengers, Iron Man, Watchmen etc.

I'd probably go with Avengers, Dark Knight, Watchmen, Iron Man and ...? Not sure.

X Men First Class was pretty good.

And you don't think the Avengers wasn't style over substance? I wouldn't even have it in my top 10 comic book movies in the last decade, let alone top 5.

Watchmen, Batman Begins, Sin City, 300, Dark Knight, X-Men First Class, Kickass, Scott Pilgrim vs the World, Iron Man, hell I'd say even X-Men 2 was a hell of a lot better than the avengers...

The avengers would be right up there as one of the worst movies I've seen in the last year, only matched ironically by Captain America and Thor.

You had that opinion before you even saw the film, now you're just exaggerating how much you dislike it.

What opinion is that? That the movie sucked? No I didn't have that opinion before I saw it. I didn't have high expectations for it, granted, but nevertheless I wanted to see it, and it was far worse than I expected.

I'm glad you seem to think you have some sort of insight into my mind, and my opinions are 'overexaggerated'. No an exaggeration would be saying I enjoyed daredevil more. The avengers ranked as a 5 or 6 out of 10 for me, I thought it was an hour too long, had zero attachment to the characters bar the hulk, and the fight scenes were alot of explosions with little entertainment value. I thought the movie was an absolute snorefest and the 3D was pretty lacklustre.

Do you enjoy following me around and making stupid statements just because my opinion differs from yours?

Some top movies getting canned in here. Surprised someone hasn't stuck the knife into The Shawshank Redemption yet.

Man on Fire probably didn't get any awards, but I've heard it praised by many. I thought it was terrible personally.

Btw, I thought the ending to Inglourious Basterds was hilarious.

Pfft you said any movie with Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk is destined to be full of fail. You wanted it to fail and voila, your opinion matches your predetermined views. Fair enough, you hate it, but you wanted to hate it and I'm glad to know that not many people share your views.

By exaggerating I meant you saying it's one of the worst movies you've seen in the last year, you must not watch many movies then. I don't care if your opinion differs but you make such childish complaints and if someone says they liked it, like hrundi, you have some big rant about how terrible it is for no reason.

I said Ruffalo was a bad choice and I didn't see how he would be good. I was wrong, he was the only redeeming thing in the movie. The rest of the characters were downright intolerable.

I watch alot of movies (usually about 5 or 6 a week), and yes the avengers is right up there as one of the worst I saw in the last year. I was bored out of my mind watching it. Hell I even watch terrible movies for the entertainment value for how bad the dialog or action may be, unfortunately the avengers was just plain bad.

I replied to hrundi because he said Sin City was style over substance, when that is exactly what the avengers was.

Get off your pedestal. A few people in here have said they didn't like the avengers, I wonder why you didn't reply to them and call their posts 'childish'. Maybe hrundi was childish for calling sin city style over substance.

I love how you have the audacity to call me childish, when you repeatedly follow around my posts like a bad smell and repeat the same garbage over and over. Tell me, what constructive contribution have you made here?

This thread is about 'shockingly bad' movies, read the first post if you want... The avengers fits into that category for me, it's not an attack on you as a person Springs, it's ok you'll live through it.
