    Watmough picked up an injury in that Sharks game. If fit Watmough is a hell of a lot faster than Noddy. As for fast props, Zorba was claiming Solomon Haumono was running 11sec for the 100m before the season started.

    I'm confident Manly have a bright future. It is a credit to the club that even when we are at the bottom of the table that we can attract players like Brent Kite and Ben Kennedy to the club. Hopefully Brett Stewart, Anthony Watmough, Jason, King, Chad Randall and Sam Harris all kick on now.

    Players mouthing off is hardly rare. On 2GB last Sunday they were commentating the Sharks-Penrith game and I clearly heard Danny Nutley telling Tony Archer to f**k off when Archer told him he had to leave the field to get blood wiped off his jersey. Hopoate is just an easy scapegoat to use...

    He is great entertainment but can be a liability in defence. He certainly revs up the boys though. One of our biggest problems is that bar Hicks and Stewart the rest of our backs can't tackle to save themselves.

    Injuries had nothing to do with the outcome. Both teams had key players out. Manly lost because they along with the ref failed to control the ruck area.

    How good is the unpredictability!

    The closness is good but it has been irritating how pretty much every team has so many players in key positions out all the time. The level could certainly be higher and it seems mthe team with the less injuries usually wins, which is not the way it should be.

    Priddis hasn't led the Panthers around very well since Campbell and Gower went down. He was alright against the Dragons but was pretty poor against Manly.

    Just because you charge in hard doesn't mean you are going for someones head. Leuluai charges every week and is without doubt one of the biggest hitters in the game. He doesn't need to go for the head to put a cat like Vella out of the game.

    I'm glad the boys turned up to play...just wish it was the football they put more of their efforts into. Manly had several chances to get back into the game but just simply choked. I think Parra can also certainly play better. I wouldn't be getting too confident just yet.

    That tackle by Leuluai was not that bad. It hit Vella on the collarbone and then slid up, there was certainly no intentional malicious intent. None of the commentators on channel 9 thought it was that bad.

    Manly were more interested in big hits than the game. At least they showed passion rather than some other teams this round who gave up. Archer was a deadset joke. It is without question the better team won...if only Kane Cleal stayed onside the game had the chance to turn into a classic...

    Any club with a sudden inflow of cash would buy established players to help their team. With Noel Cleal with the club I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of talented Manly juniors coming through the ranks in the future.
