    Lets all make the argument: Parramatta had the week off, Parramatta lost after having the week off, Therefore: All teams that have a week off lose the next week. Nevermind all the teams in previous years that won after a week off, Penrith, Roosters, Warriors, Parramatta 2001.....etc...

    I seem to recall that when you win a game you get 2 points, win it by 1 or win it by 50, you still only get two points. What's this bullsh*t about Cowboys losing by 50 and then they're not deserving enough to continue? What if they only lost by 1 to the Tigers? Would they still not deserve it...

    No. The reason we have a final series is so lower teams have a chance of making the big one. If they wanted 1 vs 2 every year, why would they bother with a finals series? That would make it boring.

    most surprising season i can remember

    What is suprising this season is that last year, the difference in points between the 1st team (Roosters) and the 8th team (Raiders) was 16. Now this year 16 pts is the same difference between 1st and 15th, so in effect the ladder has been squashed on either ends.
