    Nathan Stapleton..

Scored an 80 metre try and made one other long run on the weekend. Other than didnt do much and failed to clean up a cowboys grubber that resulted in a try to opposing winger. Wont be ready for first grade this year.

    The crowd against the Panthers.

The family hill is a massive liability for the ground. Prior to the rain everywhere else seemed to have a reasonable amount of people but the family hill was empty.

Our new Centre - Blake FERGUSON.

Was one of the best in NYC last year. IMO in all the games i saw it was him Bakuya, Bosden and him as the standouts. They were on another level compared to the rest of the side. Will hopefully go better getting more ball at centre as i didnt think he got enough of it on the wing but when he...

As per Reefy request- Trent Barrett form thread.

Wigan are struggling this year.....no half could play behind the pack the way it is going at the moment. eg. they got carved up the middle by St Helens and Sean Long weekend gone. I thought Barret looked ok but had no support. Millenium Magic great weekend by the way! PS. Should have held on...

    Seymour

Haha... sorry to get off track and but we have had.. Ross Seymour Russo Harlen Bird On our books in that time....plus Galloway, Green, Aitken from the year after. Greenfield year after etc... Thats 9 Oz schoolboys in from 3 years and the majority we had straight out of school. Amazing that...

    OT : Beer

Yeah they sold tiger and fosters everywhere in Vietnam. Also lots of random street beers like you say, dirt cheap, beer hoi or something they are called. Also that BGI (cats piss) and 333 beer was sold in most places. I dont mind singha too. Tasted alot different to what i remembered though...

    So who's going?

Going over the 7th...come back after quarter final on the 24th. Going to Koh Chang between games 1-2, then Koh Samui between game 3 and the quarter final. Costing $1600 for flights (inc internal) and accomodation. SO cheap.

    NRL teams show on fox

Raper hardly said anything about Cronulla. Definately keep the talk to a minimum. All they did was talk about Reece Williams and praise him. I found this funny considering Raper selected Williams in PL at the end of last year.

    Is Mullens better than Kimmorley?

Having watched the replay Dykes got heaps more ball at 1st receiver this week than he has got this year. Besides that intercept and a kick or two (like most halfbacks) i thought he went good. His straightning up after scooting out of dummy half was what got that first try for LooLoo. I...

Sad day, no Mateo for Sharks

Yes Reddy played for Yarrawarrah in a Robert Stone coached team till he moved to Adelaide when his dad got the Rams coaching job. Shame to miss out on Mateo. Going to England was the best thing he ever did as he came back twice the player he was and ws ready for first grade all last year. I...

    weston

I read it too. Same article said him and Perenara were both negotiating. I think it was the leader? Too many articles around to remember.

    Halfbacks

Kimmorley has combined better with Dykes as opposed Seymour this year. It has been the case since round one that the style Ricky has employed has been detrimental to Dykes individual game but has allowed the team to play better in an overall sense. They are beginning to alternate between...

check this unit. Has to be a first for positional play doesnt it?

Random middle name. Bob? He can play some footy. Still only 21 as well. I think he is better suited to wing at this stage of his career. I dont think there is any doubt he will end up in the forwards though. Surprised I had never heard of him before crackign first grade having come...

    the scared ref....

Was a horrible 10metres esp in the last 10mins when the game was on the line. Wouldnt say it cost us the game, we should have nearly had it won at half time, but certainly did not help our cause.

How much will it hurt at the end

Results wise it is comparable to last year. Too many close games that we end up being on the wrong end of the result. We are certainly a better team than last year but still lack that killer punch/ creativity and it is costing us big time.

    2004 Sharks Flegg Team

Good team. Not every kid is gonna make it but it is madness we didnt bring these guys through together with the likes of Williams, Jon Green, Galloway, Aitken. This team made its GF for 3 years in a row, won Matts undefeated.

    Unco and Pom

Yep there was the fitzhenry try. There was also another one they bombed out on the right in the second half with the line wide open. We were caught noticeably short espcially compared to other rounds. Dont get me wrong our defence has been good. I cant complain about the scores being put...

    Unco and Pom

Our centres have been getting caught out since round one with up and in defense, but we have generally covered it well. It has only really been shown up now since the Tiges had the skills, speed and sharpness to take full advatage of our faults.

    Kingston...Hanging On By A Thread

I thought it was a lucky try that was scored. Yes Kinga shouldnt have passed the ball but the ball dribbling across the ground like it did happens regulary in games. We just didnt cope with it like we should have and the Tiges made us pay. De Gois is looking the goods and wont surprise...
