If Adelaide is such a pie-in-the-sky idea that's 20 years from being viable, then how did the Rams manage to make decent crowds & a profit, despite being a "thrown together" last-minute team to make up the numbers in Superleague?Cummins, Sage and Puddy have expressed interest. The WA Gov is keen. Perth is the only non-RL city that has a chance of fielding a team within the next 20 years. Whether it comes to fruition is up for debate, but there's genuine interest. Adelaide is a pie on the sky idea that is at least 20 years from being viable.
The Rams promising start suggests to me that there's a latent market there - and a latent market that was already there about 25 years ago, not one that's 20 years from now.
