Sorry I've lost my thumbs up Tm.
Exactly, if your hands broken it's in a cast. Even a fracture. 6wks to mend usually.
Smoke and mirrors.
So he was dropped in my opinion and given a bit of time off to get over niggling injuries and get some confidence back. Also the press were after him.
I am a strong advocate of giving Lachlan as much nrl experience as possible because he's fit and players don't get bashed anymore but I did say a couple of weeks ago that if he did have a fracture and was needled I'd be furious as that's not looking after the kid.
Got my thumbs back. This site sucks as far as privacy goes.

Id like to see him shifted to centre for a couple of games and Latu given a couple of games at 5/8.
His defence is better than Dooies and Fainu might get the attack going which Galvin has struggled to do.

Can't recall where I heard this, but it was indicated early that Gal was destined for the 13 jumper.

It has been said on here often Tm. If he builds up he could invariably be a good ball playing lock. One who plays the deep 2nd receiver on plays where you have a most of the backline involved.
He would also be closer to any breaks made by the dummy half or fwd's offloads.
He has the ability but needs to be physically strong enough to have those shoulders pounded for 80min.
2-3 years down the track maybe.

Be crazy to play him anywhere but 5/8. Wait and have a look at him next season with another 5kg on his frame. He be in for a big season next year. I don’t disagree with giving Latu a run though, now’s the time to give him some footy, season is done.

It wasn't for next season, but if Latu lives up to the hype, 3 doesn't go into 2.
Whether Gal can do it, is another matter as well, but he's a big lad and with some beef on, he could be anything.

It'll be interesting how this plays out. Luai will get the 7. I can't see Galvin playing 13. There are options there in Matamua, Kit Laulilii or the 3rd prop ala Pole. Maybe Latu is a bigger body and he could do it.

I think Galvin is too slow for the centres. I see him as a half only at this point.

I Still think Latu is the better longterm 6 option. Robbie Farah told a mate of mine he was going to be the 6 to start the year til he did his hamstring just before Xmas.

Start of next year will be very interesting

I think Gal's finding out that being the top gun in juniors, doesn't give you a free ride in the pro's.
He'll learn though, as will all the young blokes.

I think Galvin needs to put at least 10kg on in the off season and play 13 next season.
Latu showed he should be starting from now on in and with Luai next year. Latu was killing it real early. He made Harold Matts training squad when he was like 13 or 14 at Parra before Manly got him. Galvin is in a flat spot at the moment, every kid will go through it. Maybe needs a rest?

Galvin is no 13, he is a half, through and through, if he was gonna be a 13 it’d be more like a Connor Watson off the bench style, but he doesn’t have the zip for that. I think he is a proper 5/8, he really reminds me of Freddy Fittler or Laurie Daley style of 6. I agree a few more kgs wouldn’t hurt him. I think it’ll be Galvin and Luai or Galvin and Latu, I think Latu and Luai both have too much flash in their games to play together I couldn’t see it working as a regular thing, they’d be getting in each others way. I do think Galvin could make a decent fullback, he has good vision for the game

What a season so far. Started really well, had a lul in the middle (coinciding with his hand injury) but for the last few weeks he’s been brilliant. Feels like he’s playing 6,7 and even 1 in attack at times. Can’t wait to see how he goes when Luai comes, great kid.

Yep great kid & great season but Isaac the agitator Moses is his manager & it’s y I don’t get overly excited about him.One things for certain that sometime next season Moses will again agitate threatening to get him out of Concord

Galvin’s future remains uncertain with the five-eighth signed for two more seasons but unable to escape reports suggesting he wants to leave the club.

I can’t hate these idiot journo’s enough.

“Tommy came up to me after the game and shook my hand and told me that I’d had a great year, so that was a pinch yourself moment.

Nice touch from “the man”.

I think like most of us, it's hard to believe he won't be one of the players to get us back in the 8.

Interesting how the slimes handled him and I am hoping he wants to show them, what they missed, tonight.
The thing that continues to amaze me about Galvin is he doesn't look like a footballer. Even though he's probably the fittest in the whole club he still looks ungamely and awkward to me. He doesn't have a sportsman's physique.
Yet he glides around the paddock seemingly unphased by the defense. He has a good step and jinking style of running that makes the D hesitate. He has a great palm and is reasonably quick. Sets up plays, try assists, long passes, and a deft kicking game.....and he's probably got more strings to his bow that he hasn't unearthed or developed yet.
His defense is improving too.
The amazing thing is, when players of his ability hits the scene, other clubs start to figure him out and close him down. There usually is a make or break period.
When he surprisingly played with that busted hand his form dropped a bit but kept playing and came through that scrutinising period with flying colours.
I think Benji has helped the lad too as Lachlan's journey thus far is similar to his. I'm also excited with the fact that he has soooo much to learn and improve on and when he becomes a more complete footballer then who knows what's going to happen with him.
Because he's started so young in first grade, 300 games looks very achievable. Are we looking at a future Hall of Fame player or better.
People say "Don't put pressure on him"
Well too late, that's happened, and he's A+ so far.
