Eele after having to secretly watch Kayo in a meeting in the UK on Friday morning on my 50 somethingth birthday last week, to only get caught out groaning over our performance last week, I’ll take the win this week!! And enjoy it!!

I'm happy we won, but I'm concerned that we don't seem to be improving.

BA talks about discipline, and controlling the ball - 60% completion is abysmal, and goes against what he preaches.

It's disappointing to think that after making a Grand Final last year, we may limp into the Finals this year, and barely make any noise.

On the flip side, missing arguably our best two forwards ( or at worst 2 of our top 3 ) we f**king smashed them through the middle allowing us to break the line with ease.

Knights didn't come to lay down and get dominated like that, we made that happen.

That said Ive always been a fan of Emus so his form dosent surprise me. Even though the last game of 2s I saw at Commbank our Eels got smashed, it was definitely the best game Id seen Offy play. Yea I hear you. Without sparking a whole BA debate, I think quite a few of us agree that we would like the club to go in a different direction.
what I think we can take out of it is the fact that it may spark some confidence.

Hodgson was embarrassingly bad once again. Stifles the attack. Not up to the speed of the game. Past it by 4 years. Just give him a coaching gig pleaseeeee.

I thought he did well in the first half however when he came back on he looked like a drunk pitch invader with a Parra jersey.

Hodgo’s first stint was actually very decent. His second stint he came back on thinking he was a halfback. Neither of his kicks were the right options and blew momentum.

We didnt have to do much D so he didnt hit the wall at the 15 min mark as usual. Bringing him back on was a mistake. BA saying the team needs to work around Josh and that his strength is his defence dosent inspire much faith in our leadership.

We just need to keep giving Hands minutes until Matt Arthur is ready in 2025. I’ve watched a few highlight reels. The kid looks like he has a real future.

I wouldn't put a lot into this year. We need to remember that Waqa and Brown between them in very close to 1 million dollars. And Hodgson 400k. You are not competing come finals with that sort of money for basically zero return.
2024 we could have a little war chest available.
2025 is when some Juniors will start to make a difference.

Knights played up in Nth Qld last week. You don't play a game there and bounce back in 6 days. The humidity killed them. Never a chance to win after playing up Nort

Knights were lucky our execution, handling and defence were off, or a 60-70 point score was likely. Was a bit frustrating to watch all the bombed chances but I enjoyed the win.

Ogden looked good to me. Good metres, good leg drive through contact. Hopefully he can keep that up against good teams.

We completed at 66%. I think that's 2 weeks in a row.
We needed to tighten that up and be more clinical. Tonight we should of easily hit 60

90+ Not kidding.

If I put my fans hat on, great game of footy and really enjoyable to watch.

But if I put my coaches hat on, pathetic nightmare training run.
