I get as worked up as the rest of you when they question the character of the team, but I struggle to get worked up about this one. We did win and it will be shown in the record books that way forever.

In three years time no one will even remember who we played, let alone Mitchell wasn’t playing…

With Hopgood being included Hindy may need 2 pairs of undies on he will be wetting them in excitement

Over on the Parra forum they are calling him the saviour. They reckon his line speed along with that old hooker with 3 knee recovery will are our line speed far better. 🙄
I reckon we will be getting a solid bench and an old man who will retire mid season due to dodgie knees.

Anyhows

He's fantastic with the ball and absolutely terrible without it. Edwards is a better fullback

Latrel is currently the best player in the game. His form is Turbo/Hayne like imo. Edward is having a great season. But no Latrell is the best in business

I get sick of hearing that. You rarely hear now Penrith won the GF with 5 guys that shouldn't have played.
If Cleary didn't have a broken shoulder or Edwards a broken foot.
And Fish, To'o, and Leota weren't busted we win by more.

You can't credit one team with a hypothetical and not the other.
I don't really care what some of deadshits think.
No guarantee if Latrell played he stars. He could have had a shocker. Like he did against us in Round 7 2020. He is a hot head.

We won Souths lost. Anyone that can't accept it can get stuffed.

The thing is many players have injuries and play busted come finals. Your assuming every other sides players where all 100% fit which is untrue.

Of course you got lucky. Mahoney missing and Parras back up, Latrell missing, Storm lose 2 players early. But that's footy. Most close games are won on luck.

The grand final you lost to Storm you where unlucky early not to be awarded a try and then there was the penalty try. Storm that night where very lucky.

Hopefully we get to play Souffs in the finals because Nathan will embarrass him by pinning him in corners

Sorry we did not get Lucky. We were the best team all year and had to get to the GF the long way with a busted team.

Regardless of any luck we might have had with opposition players missing, we had our half our team playing busted and were pretty much written off after losing to Souths in Week 1. So it was an extraordinary feat to win the comp under those circumstances and to do it while only being able to score 5 tries in the whole finals series.

Yes the best side for 3yrs now. But also luck in those games. Nothing wrong with luck. Parra got lucky against you a few round back when Nathan was sent off.

I know most teams this late in year carry niggles, but the injuries Cleary and Edwards had were season ending injuries. Winning with them in their conditions was amazing.
Not many teams go on and win the title after losing week 1 of the finals.
The fact is our attacking structure changed after Cleary got injured last year after Origin. The time the finals came we were grinders.

You do need a bit of luck to go your way winning a title. I have always believed that.
Latrell can win his team games and lose them.
We were the best side last year and won the title. The Storm were the 2nd best side.I didn't see Souths as the second best team last year. They did well to reach the GF though.

Take for example that Cleary played the end of the season and Mahoney didn’t. Both had the same injury.

Maybe it’s just ‘luck’ that Cleary didn’t re-injure his shoulder while Mahoney did; we will never really know. But Cleary is well known as being one of the most meticulous preparers in the league, while Mahoney smokes a pack a day. I don’t know for sure, but I would hazard a guess who took their recovery the most seriously.

Again, luck and preparation are hard to separate.

Ill lose my mind if its the give Kenny more minutes while Leinu's ass gets cold on the bench.

Im sure there is another reason. Target the tired Souths forwards with Korisau fresh while Kenny gets belted for 20 minutes.

And Nathan kept running the ball and even hitting in defence. The bloke is a beast
