Round 3 V Newcastle

It's one of the worst I've seen in the last 20 years.
A premeditated dog shot, even if only by half a second, on a player not in possession. I haven't seen any word on the condition of Chris Smith, i suspect if his jaw was broken we'd have heard about it by now. Still, he is unlikely to be available for this week due to concussion protocols. I've been thinking 8 weeks for this shot, and I'll stick by that.

Look at the justification for this dog act. Unbelievable.

Barnett the dog calls it careless and says he didn't deliberately go out to assault someone! FMD he even refers to it as assault.

He didn't plan to do it but the opportunity came up so he took it. Now we have Arrow saying they will deliberately go for Nathan. I suggest the NRL make an example of this dog before it gets out of hand.

I agree. None of our players are thugs like that. We all have issues, me personally, I am going through hell in my private life. One has to deal with it like adults, and not with violence. That act was unnecessary, and it was a cowardly act.

You don't plan to do a lot of things but when the opportunity comes along you make a deliberate decision.

Kent's defence appears to be that because Newcastle is a "tough" town they need tough men in their NRL team. While this might explain some of the thugs they've had in their side in the past, I hope I never need him to represent me. This act wasn't tough. It was cowardly.

Oh I get it now. Chris Smith stopped, deliberately put his head in a position, that just happened to connect with a raised elbow from an opposing player .Good one Smug Kent.
How is Chris Smith BTW?

If he doesn't stop. Barnett takes a dive and the try is called back
Players get told to go into gaps

Probably would have been an obstruction even though the pictures show the ball was long gone. He was looking to slide and Smith got in his road. That doesn't give you the right to elbow him in the mouth.

No excuse for the elbow. Teams in defence should know decoys will stop

Those shows along with most commentary teams are farcical now.

Most of the opinions being expressed aren't even serious imo. It's a panel show so they need debate. How boring if they all agree.

Their job is to get people talking way after the fact. The producers would be ecstatic at the meltdown on social media.

This is the reason I don't watch anymore.

Plenty of semi Pro pod casts with much better content out there

I'm glad you put imo, because that's all it is. He had a good game at the weekend.

I have an astute footy brain. Staines is good. Too is superior and May looks more talented.
Staines I feel is too good and expensive to be a back up and there is a new side coming into the comp next season. That means you will have to chose between the two most likely. Both would be wanted by other sides and prepared to offer them top 17 money. You can't be paying a guy 250k+ to be a back up.

That is the issue. Too many options around
