About a decade long lurker, if not longer. Feel the need to finally pipe up after tonight though.
Heartbreaking loss, but hardly a shock given recent week's results. Our game hasn't evolved, yet those around us are more than tuned into our style of play. Mix in any number of players of lesser ability than those we said goodbye to... is it any real surprise?
To sit and watch Kenny running one out, especially on the first hit up, is beyond belief. Talk of Luai being a million-dollar player..?
Two weeks in a row our edge defenders have raced in and left space on the outside edges, giving up tries. No idea why Turuva had to run in on the Nofo try tonight. We weren't exactly up against an attacking powerhouse.
An embarrassing game and looking at those available compared to recent results, I'm not optimistic that much will change. How many games would any team expect to win with a bench of Luke, Smith, Salmon and Henry anyway? Let alone covering a Peachey and a Huth in the starting side anyway.
The run was good while it lasted. We will still be there, or near abouts, but there are some serious changes required in this team, both from a tactical and personnel perspective. Afterall, lower grades aren't as good this season either.
