Round 9 vs Tigers - Bathurst

Since the WCC the team has had nothing near the line.

The middle can't be used due to Kenny's inability to play hooker. Every team knows this and just picks off the receiver.

The ball gets wide and nothing can happen.

Yep and we haven't adapted. Nothing saying we can't spread it earlier in the sets or throw cut out passing. Hell an off load or 2

Well I’m in hospital with type 1 diabetes complications, covid and diarrhoea and it sounds like my body is still better put together then the Panthers. Tbf we’ve been hard gutted from coaches to players, time to start looking at building for the future.

About a decade long lurker, if not longer. Feel the need to finally pipe up after tonight though.

Heartbreaking loss, but hardly a shock given recent week's results. Our game hasn't evolved, yet those around us are more than tuned into our style of play. Mix in any number of players of lesser ability than those we said goodbye to... is it any real surprise?

To sit and watch Kenny running one out, especially on the first hit up, is beyond belief. Talk of Luai being a million-dollar player..?

Two weeks in a row our edge defenders have raced in and left space on the outside edges, giving up tries. No idea why Turuva had to run in on the Nofo try tonight. We weren't exactly up against an attacking powerhouse.

An embarrassing game and looking at those available compared to recent results, I'm not optimistic that much will change. How many games would any team expect to win with a bench of Luke, Smith, Salmon and Henry anyway? Let alone covering a Peachey and a Huth in the starting side anyway.

The run was good while it lasted. We will still be there, or near abouts, but there are some serious changes required in this team, both from a tactical and personnel perspective. Afterall, lower grades aren't as good this season either.

Tough game. Every side will play like it’s a GF against us more often than not and tonight proved that. Without Fish we are definitely skinny in the middle. We definitely miss his and Martin’s aggression. Think we will come good when they are back but we also have origin and will lose a few. Tough next 6-8 weeks for us. Will really make or break our season if we can’t win 4 out of the next 8.

The Tigers played fantastic. Absolutely smashed us through the forwards for a well deserved victory.

Absolutely no excuses for that garbage and if anyone at the club wants to make them they should be out the door on Monday.
I dont think they played that well. We are that bad.

Our forwards were smashed. Because we have no depth in them and we have the worst hooker in the competition pushing into the front row where he's equally bad.

Kenny has let us down so many times this year it's not funny. How bad are our management to think we could do anything with him as our starting 9 instead of Api?

A few fans were dumb enough / biased enough to think we could be a threat with them still. But honestly our starting 13 carrying him and Salmon last year gave us a false hope we could do so again without Kikau and Api.

Much better team than we showed tonight.

We can't afford to lose these kind of games unfortunately. But not the end of the world.

There is a lot of delusion on here,

The way they marched up the field all night I don't know how they didn't win by more. And yet if Nathan holds on to the ball we win.

He offered zero variety.

pissing down with rain and not one single spiral bomb

Yep. This is why I hate all the Cleary is a shoe in for an immortal. He lacks what the truly great halfbacks have - vision. He doesn't really set plays up tackles beforehand the way Johns, Thurston or even Cronk could. Nor can he improvise.

He is a halfback who is an excellent defender and excellent kicker. When young he was an excellent runner but it seems the extra weight has affected his agility and acceleration, so he isn't as dangerous there as he was as a teenager.

Peachey will stay centre.

Need Garner to start and Sorensen's leg speed off the bench
