Not a putdown on Penrith, but I heard from a mate of a mate that a lot of Penrith fans left early. Can anybody back this up?
Yeah there were a small but noticeable number leaving at around 60 mins. We saw a family leave right after the Leota try which seemed very strange.

The Broncos playing hot potato near the Penrith line was IMO.

Sixteen points up and odds on to get another try, instead Herbie (?) threw the ball onto the ground and Critta showed the desperation to get there first.
Yeah that was awful. Unforgivable that a Bronco didn't get to the ball first, really.

Johns the club player is not Joey the rep player.

At 25 Nathan has won more finals games than Joey did in his career.

CleRy's resume was blighted by a lack of comebacks since his entire game is built around grinding out a lead.

Then the 2023 GF happened....
Johns the club player carried Newcastle. As good as Cleary is he’s part of the best team in a generation.

Righto.
Completely devastated.
We got what we deserved unfortunately.
When you are competing against a two defending champion they must be respected. This respect has been earned over the last few seasons. The fact that some of them carry on like bellends is irrelevant.

We stopped respecting our opponent for a very short period and that is all it took.

The ref did a great job.

One thing I'm sure of is the team will have learnt from this and will be better for it next season.

Well done PENRITH. A quality performance under immense pressure. Cleary really stood up when required and was prepared to do whatever it took to get the victory.
That’s an impressive post mate from someone who would no doubt still be feeling shit at the moment.
