    Western Bears

Good point, however a team on the Central Coast I reckon is more likely than a team in WA. So why wouldn't the Bears still have their hat in the ring for this. Who will relocate there relistically ??? Melbourne would be the most likely to move there and that is highly unlikely. Even then...

    Western Bears

They would have to approach the football club I imagine not the leagues club. To the best of my knowledge the football club is commited to returning to the NRL on the Central Coast if the opurtunity arises and have indicated this to the NRL. The leagues club have said they will support this.

    Western Bears

NEVER SAY NEVER. Who realistically will take the bribe to move to the Central Coast ?? The NRL have stated emphatically that they want a team there. There may be a review or tender process in the next few yrs re new teams. There are other instances that could eventuate. I still ask why...

Anyone who thinks it is 'selfish' to want their team in the NRL, needs to get a new dictionary and pull their head out of their a***.

Well, give me something to work with Jizzy; Unsheath your wit if you have any (yet to be detected), and quit with the dainty rebuffs (which is all you have been capable of so far + some smilies).

I don't think you are Jizzer; But please keep using the smilies so I know what you are attempting.

Yep, Leave the whole North Shore and Central Coast for AFL & Rugby & Soccer to Carve up. This is the madness that prevails today. Why expand into another AFL dominated state, when the second biggest city in Australia can't keep a franchise afloat without the NEWSCORP lifesupport system...

RL on Nine in Melbourne and the future

You mean a staged response ?

25,000 tickets sold for Melbourne Origin already!

No problem if it does Mate... I thought every-one so far had ?? although I could be wrong. I will however still question a lot I hear from NEWSCORP and their publications regardless of how much sugar-coating goes on here or elsewhere.

ibeme - You better sheath that razor sharp wit of yours before someone gets hurt

25,000 tickets sold for Melbourne Origin already!

No problem ibeme, I just don't think that they "sold" 25,000 - I beleive it was a "story" designed to build hype. That was my inference, sorry you didn't detect it. And I'm sorry if you have a problem with that. I thought this was an open church.

25,000 tickets sold for Melbourne Origin already!

Amazing that NEWSCORP, 100% owner of the Storm and publisher of the tele would be pushing this "story".

    $100m OP plan

Thanks Mate, You've convinced me. Melbourne are safe.

    $100m OP plan

It's funny how someone said something along the lines of - No matter the cost, News should continue to prop up the Storm - Do you really think that now Lachies gone, Daddy will be happy to watch money go down the tube ?? With Newscorp now based in the US; This is even more relevant...

    Battle of the Codes

Central Coast Bears are the only one anyone has mentioned that has a good chance of financial viability. Melbourne wil be dropped like a hot spud soon. Unless anyone wants to take them off News Ltd's hands (including the ongoing annual debt that is getting worse not improving), they will be...

Ch 7's massive court case - how could it impact on RL?

Anything that means News end up with less control would be good for RL.

Who should be the new team ?

It should be the Central Coast; As you pointed out the infrastructure is in place. It is Rugby League Heartland, The area is also screaming out for this, and the CC deserves this. Also, to quote David Gallop: "It would heal the last wound by bringing back the only foundation club which...
