    7 News Sydney Tonight

No need to get paranoid, presumably someone asked a graphics person for a 'Bulldogs logo' and wires got crossed. Though if I was Greenberg I'd still be asking for a correction.

Crime Command Takes Over NRL Betting Inquiry

Christ the people (allegedly) involved in this were dumb. "I'm going to place a gigantic bet on a ridiculously unlikely fringe betting option. No one will ever suspect a thing when I just so happen to get lucky!"

Two new Rugby League shows for ONE HD

Pretty sure I read that TNL has been cancelled. Can't remember where I saw that, but it's definitely not on the One website anymore.

    The LOGO Thread.

Whoever designed that atrocity deserves to be shot. Just embarrassing, especially those swooshy things at the bottom. Greenberg deserves a statue outside Belmore just for getting rid of the thing.

    2011 Jersey & Sponsorship Discussion

Pretty sure the Bulldogs images above are mockups done by someone on The Kennel. Would love to see us go back to a square V but we're probably going to keep the swooshy Super League design.

    2011 Memberships

So Canterbury are amongst the last to go on sale. I am shocked. Shocked! Hopefully we'll have our jerseys available before April this time, but I'm not confident

NSW Cup GRAND FINAL - Bulldogs v Windsor - 12pm Sun @ ANZ

I believe it's 50% of first grade games but I could be wrong. Helpfully the NSWRL doesn't have the eligibility rules on its site.

    Are we cheats? (again)

Yes exactly, it's not like a Melbourne scenario where they had a zillion Origin stars and internationals. If you look at our squad next year and compare it with other teams' squads it doesn't really stand out that much. The suspicion comes from the fact that we've signed a large number of...

    70,000 screaming fans

Parra and Canterbury did a fair bit of followup work after that game too. They sent out emails plugging memberships to everyone who bought a ticket, and the dogs also sent membership brochures to everyone who sat in the bulldogs section. Dragons and Tigers should follow their lead.

Rugby League Week vs Big League

Haven't bought RLW for ages but I used to get pissed off at the minimal articles about football, it was all puff pieces about players along the lines of "Player-You've-Barely-Heard-Of struggled to cope when his puppy/kitten/bunny died, but with the help of his mates he's got through it and is...

Brett Stewart found not guilty of sexual assault

That was more than six years ago and barely anyone from that squad remains at the club so I don't see why we're still being asked to answer for it. (Not to mention that no one was ever charged with any offence, let alone convicted)

Are you a member of your club?

Yep I am. The benefits other than tickets are pretty crap but it's a pretty good saving on buying tickets individually. (And we get a 5% discount on food at ANZ, so I save 20 cents or something on my $4.80 meat pie. Generous)

    How long will Matai get???

You reckon? He came in well after Ennis had passed the ball and hit him with enough force that he was out cold before he hit the ground. See you in April, Matai

Garry Jack tips his son Kieran to switch from AFL to NRL

Yep. He plays five-eighth for Canterbury in the NSW Cup

    Dogs on the take?

It was a bad tackle but I don't think it looked any dodgier than the zillion other tackles that attract penalties every season. God knows we've given away plenty of dumb holding-down penalties this year so this one isn't exceptional. The whole thing does seem dodgy though - it's hard to...

    The TV rights thread

Not completely true, the ABC shows the Shute Shield in NSW. But in the main he's right, and I wouldn't blame Seven for dumping union tests, they're massively unpopular. This year games against NZ and RSA have been rating around 400-500k, that's much less than a standard NRL club game on a Friday...

    2010 Crowd Watch II

Yeah but the SCG at least has heritage and charm to make up for the crap viewing, and is conveniently located near all sorts of pre-game/post-game entertainment options. ANZ is a concrete monstrosity in the middle of a barren wasteland so it doesn't have much going for it. Plus there's the fact...

    Grand Final played in Melbourne?

The way he phrases it suggests that he thinks it's the NSW govt's decision where the GF gets played. "The New South Wales Government ought to give serious consideration" etc etc.

    Grand Final played in Melbourne?

He says he will raise the matter with the New South Wales Government. "The New South Wales Government ought to give serious consideration to having future grand finals of the rugby league here in Melbourne," he said. Why does he want to raise it with the NSW govt? Isn't this an NRL matter?

Question on FIFA 2022 World Cup, $, & the NRL

Why would the ACT govt spend that sort of money so it could have two rectangular stadia? That's insanity. Their population is about 300k, there's no possible way they need two major sports venues of the same shape.
