It's a tight competition so far and it just seems to be getting better.

Easter, with games over five days, always feels like the season is well under way. Tonight, it's big, Storm v Roosters, two teams - with known egos - coming off wins. Look out.

Friday, Bulldogs v Rabbitohs, gee, Souths are underperforming. Lose here and they'd have only won a third of their games to start the season.

Cowboys v Dolphins is the latest Queensland derby. Let's hope they smash each other up! For our entertainment (like Origin!)

Saturday, at Penrith, the Sea Eagles are miles and miles from the ocean but, after last week's show at Mudgee, they can still turn up and play. They won't get away with scatterbrain defence this week though. Brisbane have the struggling Raiders at home. They're expected to stay undefeated.

Sunday, GC v St George. Two battling outfits, then the Knights - who are better than first thought (particularly without Ponga) host the resurrected Warriors, who stunned the league world last week.

Monday, phew, it's a long weekend alright. Sheens' Tigers are in with the Eels. At the neutral Olympic Park, let's pray they can do it.

Enjoy.

Autumn has arrived in Melbourne. Bleak, pissing down, the Storm looking good! 18-8, near halftime.

Haha that’s one of the best, Olam dropped the ball before kicking it, and Coates didn’t ground the ball. Bunker happy though

Souths put 50 on the Bulldogs. I wonder what that'll do to the confidence of both sides? It could be the spark Souths were looking for, but for the Bulldogs it could be a disaster.

Holmes in late though, Dolphins lead 26-22, ten mins to go, momentum and big match experience with the Cowboys?
Even if they get out of jail, they aren’t showing much this season, payten admitted he gave them a lighter off season than last year which seems to be coupled with some lads getting ahead of themselves after a good season

Dolphins win 32-22, they went about 30 minutes in that second-half without attacking, but came good at the death. I thought Nikorima, who is experienced, would've potted a field-goal to make it 29-22 with 2-3 minutes to go.

Either way, the newbies roll on.

It's cold in Penrith tonight, I just don't think Manly travel well, and definitely not deep into Sydney's west.

Packed house, we'll see what happens. No Fisher-Harris for Penrith, that's big.

Penrith doing it at a canter so far, Manly getting shredded on the edges. Manly need a….. dare I say it, Warriors-like comeback

44-12, Penrith. Final. Manly did avert a bit of a disaster though. 12-all, second-half!
In hindsight I reckon Penrith had about a 20 point wind behind them in the first half, which probably accounted for the final score- but they were still far and away the better team.

Canberra roll the Broncos, we can go equal top of the table on competition points if we win tomorrow!
full credit to the Raiders, big statement after copping 50 last week.

Only tuned in for last 5mins, what happened?
Rapana bleeding more than old school wrestler!
Felt that tough on both sides, clear accident, but doesn't lose the ball if not hit in the head.
