Are you happy to lose?

2021 means nothing now.

The whole suggestion the game against the West Tigers means nothing is so stupid it belies belief.

Who is happy to lose?

I agree the origin guys need a week off though. No other time to do it. If resting them leads to a loss then so be it.

The freshen up is more needed then a random 2 points here

It really is that simple. The Origin guys need a rest this is the best time to do it
No one suggesting the origin guys don’t need or deserve a rest.

I and others simply suggesting the game means something, means a lot. Every game means something, if you’ve already won the wooden spoon with one game left the last game still means something. If it means nothing, don’t bother watching, why would you bother. If you happen to watch it then it must mean something.

Will we drop a place if we lose?

Will we run the same 17 v Sharks as we do this week?

We have half a starting team to come back in. So nope regardless of x player scoring plenty of tries or dropping several passes. There are a stack of changes next week.

So no the result means very little across the course of the season

Did we run out of steam we finished strongly in the grand final one or two things go our way we win. Then nothing is said about running out of steam.inexperience cost us a slow start
Both years we have played far worse football after Orgin, this isn't an opinion it's a fact. Last year we did have injuries which explains some of it

If we were in the Parra/Broncs/Sharks fight for 4th then it is different but we are mile in front.

So the plan turns too how is the best way to be playing our best footy in September

Not be pedantic but in 2020 there was no mid season Origin.
My mistake but we did peak too early 2 years in a row. Ivan can sometimes be a slow learner but hopefully he's got it now. The bloke has never had sides good enough to worry about peaking at the right time

We flew through 2020 we played well right up until the GF, we just had a really off game that night which was probably pressure more than anything else, we won 17 in a row before the GF. It was a shortened season, no origin, hard to see fatigue as an issue that year.

We blew a lead v Roosters in the finals
Bombed a million tries in a close Prelim Final

So we were off the whole finals series.

Don't think anyone who has a break/holiday mid-year doesn't come back to their job more energised and productive.

The case of Yeo. He can go home take his kid to see the Grandparents just have a few days in the country and come back on Monday and rip in for the rest of the year

We ran out to a big lead v the roosters before we let them back in it, I mean the storm did the same thing to us in the second half of the GF and almost blew a big lead, I doubt anyone would accuse them of being off that game.

The official's game managed a respectable score in the GF.

The first try with Yeo's kick was a penalty in any game where we weren't twenty six points down.

Im not suggesting we almost won just using it to make a point. To me 2020 wasnt a season that we peaked to early we just didnt turn up on GF night. We killed teams right up until the last round, started that way against the roosters and had a tough prelim win to get into the GF.

Do we come back if it doesn't get to 13 on 11? To'o's try wasn't a try before that

So lets not try to re-write history here.
We have been far from our best the last 2 post seasons.

Through various reasons. This year we can show we learn't from them
