Surprising to see Sele not even in the 21 man squad. His defense can be a bit dodgy sometimes but he creates a fair amount of points for a lock/prop. Definitely rate him over Ellis.

Jed went ok at centre last week he was part of the reason chrichton scored 3 tries. He defended well too people need to remember jed started as a centre for the titans then was moved to backrow later on.My only concern would be lack of speed having both yeo and cartwright in the centres together although we would have a big team
Jed's is deceptively quick. Isn't a speedsters but he's got octopus levels of lanky arms. It's hard for centres to beat him on the outsides because of that and his massive leg stride.

Panthers coach Ivan Cleary has reduced his squad to face South Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium on Saturday.

Malakai Watene-Zelezniak and Jed Cartwright have been omitted and will instead play for the Panthers Canterbury Cup side against South Sydney.

With Dean Whare and Waqa Blake currently sidelined, rookie centre Brent Naden has been granted an exemption to take his place in the side.

The Panthers will wear the 2019 Home Jersey.

Really like Martin in the 13, the final team should have Luai and Aekins dropping out and give Ellis another run taking over from WINTERSTEIN after 20 minutes

In the same way Fish was in beast mode being the prop. Really bent back the line.
