Well I’m in hospital with type 1 diabetes complications, covid and diarrhoea and it sounds like my body is still better put together then the Panthers. Tbf we’ve been hard gutted from coaches to players, time to start looking at building for the future.
Take care.

Sure we were missing some quality players but no excuses we should learn to play wet weather footy, but they don't learn! The Tigers dominated us physically and we had terrible hands. As embarrassing as it is to be the first team to lose to them in 9 months, we were honestly lucky to lose only by 4...

Forget any talk of a three peat, the class of 2021-22 has well and truly been diminished and those expectations are unhelpful. As much as we really need some troops back like JFH, Marto etc.. certain players need to fix their attitude and attention to detail or we will struggle to even make the 8.

Pretty much nailed it.
The Tigers completed 90% in the wet but us 78%. It was low as 72% with abt 10 to go. Grinding really shouldn't be a problem for us.

Our forwards were dominated and we couldn't hold on to the ball.
Can't hold onto the ball. You can't build pressure. That said our attack needs tweaking. It has shades of 2019.

We bombed a few tries that could have resulted in us stealing a win. But it would have been undeserving.

They used strapping tape gate. We will learn from this

I never thought I’d see the day when Brooksy outplayed Nate.

Nate phoned it in by his standards.

Injuries and the wet weather and some fog.

The entire side was unusually down.

The disco seems to be over, but we shall see.

Welcome back to the real world smuggies.

Brooksy for Origin

You bunch of Bradbury’s only win when the opposition falls over , get back to losing it’s what you do best :D

Brooksy gave Nate a masterclass

Brooksy hasn’t had a good game since 2017. Knocking on is a better attacking option than passing the ball to the engnomed king.

Nate wouldn’t make our squad these days!

And if this is the best Ivan can do, lose to a side that hasn’t won a game for a half century, you can keep him!!

The days of smug as far as the eye can see are over.

It's almost amusing that the downtrodden (W/T) after 1 win, (since August 2022) come in with trolling and arrogance.

@Aliceinwonderland plenty of us in here have given it to opposing fans over the past 3 seasons. Sometimes you’ve just got to take your medicine.

True, you’ve had about the best run in rugby league history and it’s been quite a ride.

But to sustain such strength i think is extremely difficult. So many things have to go right. It gets harder and harder.

There’s been some discussion about Webster, Ciraldo and Ivan and who contributed what. I think many good decisions have been made by a lot of people.

I’m sure Ivan would have tweaked defence and attack regularly, selected players and all kinds of things.

And your strength, conditioning and medical people. They are critical aren’t they?!

They need to work out how to treat and prevent injuries based on the individual player. Nates not as fresh as he was and they have a lot of responsibility getting him right as far as they can and every other player.

If they screw up, that could be catastrophic.

the ride is far from over.Ivan is the trainer who has the horse holding back waiting for the turn onto the straight .Nathan will deliver us back to the promised land .Brooks will also be there grand final day just sitting in the grandstand watching the mighty panthers march to glory
Silverdale will be in the passenger seat of Dane lauries car leaning out the window screaming I love the panthers as the do laps of mulga road

They played simple football and we tried to play around them.

We needed a loss like this. If we don't come out firing against the warriors, we need to get our shit together.

On the M4, Panther officials will only let dane and I go so far as the Northern Rd, then I have to turn off and head east at Kingswood.

Dane and I are allowed a short detour on the high street to Panther kebab under escort.

I dressed up as nun recently and made it to the city centre for the anzac thing:

But because I have ancestors who were killed and an uncle who fought bravely, I don’t like war.

I totally agree.

There is a general view on the wt thread that the victory was ultimately consummated thanks to a strong and determined effort by our forwards in the last ten minutes.

I was pleased for the whole game and both clubs for saving the round as a competition at that stage.

The irony being that some were predicting a cricket score.

There will be some true grit in your warriors match and hopefully we can show up v saints.
