    Dugan out for a month

To be honest, I think it will do the team some good having him out while he gets on top of his injury. It was obvious that it was holding him back at times against the Titans. It is also disruptive to the team having him come off and having to re-shuffle the backline and adapt to it...

Benji Marshall not guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm

Whilst I don't agree with violence being used, it is alleged, and I believe that Benji tried to resolve the issue verbally first. To me, the principle here is quite simple. No verbal abuse towards Benji, then no issue. This bloke allegedly provoked Benji, so he got what he deserved. The...

Let's talk about the Canberra Raiders

In my opinion, I still take it one week at a time with the Raiders. I know that cliche is used a lot, however, I prefer to be realistic. Sure, I'm a huge Raiders fan, but I know all too well how disappointed I have been in the past when I have had high expectations of them. Typically, the...

    Thank Christ for Woolford!

McCrone has improved since being given some guidance and confidence by Andrew Johns. The last month, McCrone has been more involved and is working his butt off. Had this happened earlier in the season, it's likely that there would have been more wins. This is just my opinion.

If he leaves, I will murder someone.

In recent years, guys have left the club chasing rep honours. Fortunately, the Raiders are getting some recognition and this doesn't appear to be such a big issue...for now anyway. In my opinion, the big issue here is winning a premiership. Whilst the players certainly enjoy the rep honours...

    Mal Meninga or Laurie Daley

I think Laurie would be good as a halves 'mentor', similar to what Andrew Johns does with other clubs.

If we dont buy a halfback next year we will not make the 8

'What do we do with Campo?' Well, there are many options that have been thrown around in the past. One option is that he play at Lock. To me, this isn't completely crazy, as we would have Herbert and McCrone in the halves and Campo would have far less pressure as there would be another...

If we dont buy a halfback next year we will not make the 8

I actually think that Herbert is quite good. To me, the problem is that either he or Campo is afraid of taking control. In games where Herbert has taken control, the team seems to look fairly structured. Campo on the other hand, becomes frustrated far too easily and the whole team suffers...

f**k YEAH the 7 year wait is over!!

Firstly, great win and finally a win over the Storm. I thought the usual would happen in the last 10 minutes and the boys would throw it in, however, they stuck with it this time. I actually thought it was one of Herbert's better games. It looked like Campo was giving him more space and...

    Sick of it!

Agree with what you're saying there too. The 'better' teams do typically get the better calls and it's something I notice too. At times last year the Raiders were getting some pretty decent calls too. The way the game is, you will never beat a ref, and in the end, it all comes down to mental...

    Sick of it!

There are two ways to look at all of this. First is to continually blame the ref's, which, in the case of last night's game is very easy to do because in my opinion, the ref's were damn ordinary...one of the worst games I have ever seen for reffing. Seems that the ref's feel they are what...

    Raiders vs Roosters

It's difficult to work out just where things went wrong today. No doubt the heat contributed to the problems, but there seemed to be a Raiders team out there who played from a few seasons ago... In recent seasons, there has always been a problem with attacking on the line. There doesn't...

All Raiders fans going to Broncos game

I'll be there!!! Let's hope we get some good Raiders support and a win! We're due for a win at Suncorp.

    Zillman to Titans

Honestly, as long as Goodwin stays, I don't mind that Zilly goes. Sure, Zilly's a great talent, but I think Goodwin has more potential at full-back than on the wing, and it's his preferred position.

    That ticking noise....

I went to the Titans vs Cowboys game there in round 1. That place is full of so much "artificial" intimidation, and the sound quality is appauling.

    Robbed!

When games are close, officals need to do their job properly, last night that definitely didn't happen. Tongues' try should have been given and that penalty against Milne was pathetic, momentum swung Newcastles' way after that. I knew the Raiders were no chance when I saw that Shayne Hayne...

    Alan Tongue

Simon Woolford once said he had already retired from rep footy... I hope that isn't the case for Alan Tongue.

    Another pathetic display!

I would have preferred Campese to stay in the halves and leave Withers at hooker. That has worked well in past weeks and it has at least been a stable setup. Today it was as though too many hands were involved trying to make things happen, no one really took charge. Tongue is better when...

The race to sign back line backups

It is far more important to sign Dobson. Personally, I have been waiting for the Raiders to get a good young halves pairing, that looks like it's finally happened. We have plenty of backline options. Milne and Goodwin have been fantastic and their debut in the NRL has been a long time coming...

Raiders fans going to the Titans game

I'll wait for the game at Suncorp Stadium...not a big fan of Carrara Stadium. You are right though. When the Raiders come up and play at Brisbane, there are always large numbers of Raiders supporters at the game. Had a very unlucky result last year.
