    *spolier* Trent Barrett

Barrett won't even be charged and nor should he be. Physique: Marsh is a mug lair - just look at his (metrosexual, short on the sides, long on the back) hair cut. I do not buy into his church-going, born-again bullsh*t. Finding God doesn't stop players being dirty. Just look at Jason Stevens.

Chemicalstorm, have a long hard look at your signature and get back to me.

    *spolier* Trent Barrett

Iafeta, what an absolute goose you are. If you want to call on my knowledge of the rigours of the game, I would love to compare your footballing endeavours with mine and see where you stand. And don't try to patronise me - you only come off looking like the idiot you so evidently are.

Tackling? What PJ Marsh did was tackling? Please. There was contact to the head - partial, somwhat, minor - whatever, and it came from Marsh's elbow/forearm. Yes, there is contact to the head every week. No, it is not acceptable for there to be contact to the head when a player is in mid-air...

    *spolier* Trent Barrett

How was Barrett able to defend himself mid-air after putting in a kick? How could have he protected himself from Marsh's raised elbow? Why should a player, cheaply collected in such a situation, not respond? How Marsh is being seen as the victim here is absolutely beyond me.

    *spolier* Trent Barrett

You clowns are deadset kidding yourselves. If PJ Marsh didn't partially collect Barrett on the chin/jaw with an elbow, I'm not here. Marsh is the cat. Barrett had every right to blow up.

    Berrick Barnes: Heading to Rugby?

You idiot. The Broncos get who they want. If they wanted Barnes bad enough, or saw a future in which they needed to have him, they would have got his signature. Bennett knows they can do without him. He has shown with Hunt, Bott and Seymour (and going back several years, Lockyer) that if a...

    Berrick Barnes: Heading to Rugby?

Rocky Elsom went from the Bulldogs' Jersey Flegg bench to Wallaby in three years. Do you think we will ever see the day when a Randwick colts/u-19 bench warmer switches to league and goes on to play for the Kangaroos? Please.

    Berrick Barnes: Heading to Rugby?

Overrated. No loss whatsoever. Doesn't have the speed or power to be anything more than a solid NRL player. Good luck to him.

    Bronco accused of rape

The player in trouble is 22, as has been reported by police already.

    Bronco accused of rape

The Bronco *not* involved has already been named in The Courier-Mail. The Toowoomba player in trouble though was formerly with the Cowboys/Young Guns. *edited*

Top three wins of all time - Your Club

Being a Bulldogs man growing up, my three are: 1. 1995 Elimination Semi-Final, Canterbury vs St George. Canterbury won 12-8 in an old-fashioned slugfest in the wet. Was significant because it was Baa's (supposed) last season and we had gone into the semi-finals in sixth place and in relatively...

Should we bring back Simply The Best?

While we all have different music tastes, I think a classic rock anthem would please most people on some level. By that, I mean big guitars and a memorable, catchy chorus. A song you would happily sing at the bar with your mates while having a few beers. I have always loved the song "More Than...

Should we bring back Simply The Best?

When the NSWRL ran the Tina Turner "What You Get Is What You See" (1988) and "Simply The Best" (1989 - 1994, or thereabouts) advertising campaigns, league thrived. The music was perfect and the ads ran for a good couple of minutes, featuring highlights from great games and our best players...

    Lolesi

For fans in Qld, there's a good story on Lolesi in the Main Game liftout of today's Courier-Mail.

    Tyron Haynes

He was sensational in the state u/19's selection trial. Best player on the field. Really tough attitude in defence. Not that big but was very powerful with ball in hand, too. It was the first time I'd seen him play but on the strength of that performance, I'd mark him down as one to watch.

    ben shitlosti

I thought Ben had a pretty good game tonight. He looked a lot more comfortable than early in the season. Towards the end of the game he was getting some strong go-forward. He also threw a nice offload in traffic that almost led to a try for Patten. Before he joined the Broncos his biggest assest...

    Any Truth

I'm not sure Irvine ever played with Toowoomba. I know he spent a season at Souths-Logan and was signed to play with Redcliffe in 2005, but he pulled pins on the Dolphins during the pre-season. I never understood why he went from Parramatta to playing in the Queensland Cup. Surely he could...

Bowen the next target for Union

No way will Bowen leave. It's a media beat up if I've ever seen one.
