    Halfback solution

Interesting how Roy Masters describes the idea of forwards passing the ball as a "revolution". Wasn't that was was done both at the Dogs and Parra when Dymock and Smith were playing? Also, from memory, our forwards did a lot of passing in 2001.

    Jarred Maxwell......

If Burt had run the ball dead or kicked it as suggested, Maxwell would probably have just have called time off for the line drop out and we're back to the same situation.

Lewis: Our fans will cheer for Hindy

Great work Luke Lewis. Good to see a bit of class off field by some of the games older brigade. Some of the younger loud mouths can learn a bit from guys like Luke Lewis, Petro and Hindy.

    Anderson To Stay.

Kearney must not have been available then................. :D

    Team vs W/Tigers

Is Mitchell still with us next year? Thought I saw something about him going to the Sharks.

Eels targeting Brett Kimmorley and Matt Orford

Agree with Bradeel. Hopefully if it all works out, young Mortimer won't then sign with another club like PJ Marsh did after he did his apprenticeship under JT.

    Mark Riddell

Lets not forget about the wonderful group of players we had come through late in the late 90's / early nougties. I've always wondered how we would have gone had PJ Marsh not signed with the Warriors. He was groomed to be the half after Taylor and was a standout in that position in THAT grand...

Mark Geyer: Craig Bellemy did not want Tim Mannah

Look on the bright side guys, at least Tim Mannah got 11 minutes more field time than Aaron Raper :-)

Kimmorley looms as fall-back option if Eels miss Cronk

Maybe Noddy can "do a JT" in his last seasons with us.

    OT: Socceroos v Germany Tonight

Not sure the Pim thinks strikersare surplus to requirements - more that he thinks the strikers available to us this time around would simply be making up numbers. Other than say Kewell was expected to come on in the second half, which of our "strikers" would have been worth picking?

    OT: Socceroos v Germany Tonight

I'm not inclined to blame Verbeek. He simply doesn't have the cattle. Four years ago, a guy like Viduka wouldn't have looked out of place playing in a Brazilian jersey. I mean, up until about a month ago, the Socceroos were still trying to beg him out of retirement! There simply hasn't been...

    OT: Socceroos v Germany Tonight

Other than Emerton and Wilkshire, I don't think any of the Socceroos matched it with their German opponent. Outplayed all over the park. 4 - 0 a fair reflection of the game I think.

    OT: Socceroos v Germany Tonight

1 - 1. Do you reackon 02:30 (Perth time) is too early for couple of beers?

Timana Tahu out, Joel Monaghan in for State of Origin II

How do you unintentionally call someone a black merkin? Fully support Tahu's stand on this, particularly seeing as it's now come out that the NSWRL had simply tried to cover it up. I can see why Paul Osborne saw Tahu as a priority signing, for his leadership both on and off the field.

    storm attitude

I reackon the Storm has now surpassed Canterbury and Manly as being our most hated rivals. The Canterbury and Manly rivalry is mainly a historical one - I doubt the current players actually hate their players. Melbourne on the other hand, it's been personal since the 2007 when they injured...

    Matt Keating

I can't believe PJ Marsh has been forgotten already when people are thinking of the great / favourite hookers we've had in recent years.

Best Way To Handle Games Vs Melbourne?

I agree. Also, with nothing to play for, what will motivate the Storm to put in an "appropriate" effort against all teams? Maybe one week they'll be an easy 2 points and other weeks they'll give you a beating just to prove a point. Not really fair and balanced.

    Premiers !!!!!!!

No. NRL has done the right thing. To retrospectively present the Eels and Manly with the 2009 and 2007 premierships would be hollow victories and very awkward for both sets (meaning Eels and Manly) of players.
