I don't think that's curtains for Soni Luke. Far from it. Just this game a bigger bench feels right. Luke has a role to play at some point.

I think Luke being dropped is reflective of his position in the squad. He's an important cog, but ultimately still in development. This is a bigger than usual regular season game and my guess is Ivan is willing to sacrifice a bit in the longer term to give us the scope to rest a few in the coming weeks.

Good move to drop Luke as the side noticeably drops of when he comes on and he also isn't playing enough minutes to improve (not that he will much at his age imo)

I'd play him for 80mins in cup for a few weeks and the pick an easier game and play in first grade for 80min and let Kenny sit in the bench. Sink or swim time
