Referee and bunker managing that game was bullshit. Panthers destroyed them. But they were managed into the game for a grandstand finish and f**ked our for and against.

Penalty count was do lopsided. Fancy Roosters full strength spine not being able to ein a game with a 9-4 penalty count and the bunker managing the score line.

This. First time I've thought they're doing that. Every time they were under pressure they got a relieving penalty and that blatant knock on try no one will mention while crying about the bunker for obstructions.

Souths last week the worst kindve preparation for playing us. They had no line speed no kick pressure no field position pressure no discipline. We are basically the exact opposite of that, high energy fast moving defence and most of the time making the opposition work the ball of their try line. It’s a simple formula but we just execute it at such a level it’s ridiculous. Still giving away a few to many dumb penalties we need to clean that up. Score line flattered the roosters last night, really we dominated but invited them to score a couples tries the last ten minutes.

The Roosters spine is terrible anywhere but the attacking zone.

Keary is washed, Walker wants the highlight play. Neither has a long kicking game and gives the ball back too easily to the back three.

Brandon Smith is nuggety ball runner who worked within the Melbourne system with two international hookers his whole time there. He can't manipulate the ruck or get his forwards rolling.

Teddy still thinks he's twenty five and capable of extreme acceleration and able to break any one on one tackle. This flows onto Keary who can no longer run to the short side to create an overlap since the defence will follow him as the defence doesn't worry about Teddy taking advantage of the defensive mismatch created on the open side.

I'm waiting to see when the Roosters move on from the incumbent 1, 6, 7 and 9. I can see Keary being medically retired but Smith and Teddy won't be easy to dump before their contracts expire.

It does look like Robinson is falling into the same trap that Paul Green did in being loyal to his premiership stars who are no longer top tier.

Enjoyed T’OO’s try, not often do you see a winger rag doll an opponent. Most important stats of game we averaged over 40 metres a set to their 32 they would have had a lot less if you discount last 10 minutes. We also put up 5 bombs to their 1.

Following on from Munky...its probably a good example of why we're having a sustained run of success, albeit forced by the salary cap. We keep regenerating our squad with 4-5, possibly more, new players who help change our style subtly. It keeps us at the top, especially with our systems. It means we're dangerous across the park too.

Other teams such as the Roosters aren't changing style at all, because they keep relying on the same players to come up with miracle plays. It showed last night with Tago giving the usually dangerous Suuali an absolute bath with his defence.

Both teams played like they've played so far this season. Imagine being paid to set odds and having that rabble favourites.

The commentary last night on fox was atrocious, it was so Rooster biased. It’s continuing today, apparently now the poor Roosters were “Robbed”.

At least their coach accepted we were the better team, zero talk of all the bad calls we received.

Although Robbo did admit a couple of times we were the better team he still complained extensively about their no-try with the Dyl obstruction but conveniently failed to mention their dropped ball 'try' on half time, the 9-4 penalty count or Tago's disallowed try which could have gone either way.

The Martin obstruction non call was incorrect, the Manu try was a no try due to the Luai obstruction, anyone who doubts Edwards making it to a play hasn’t been watching Rugby League for the past 5 years, they received a try off a knock on and 9 penalties to 4. Generously call that a wash on the officiating and you have a 22-6 stomping without the best player in the world before we clocked off to save energy for the grand final.

No longer concerned about the Roosters for all the reasons other posters have pointed out above. Storm and Broncos will be thereabouts and Cows/Warriors have the squads to cause some issues but that looks like the extent of the chasing pack at this stage. Sharks, Roosters, Souths, Manly, Newcastle and Parra look too flawed. The rest of the sides are rebuilding.

Up there with the clubs great wins .The bonus is it now lets us not have to rush our injured players back we got manly the the bye.Bring the injured guys back after the bye
The person who does not get a lot of credit is coach Cleary .Each year we see a different name sos cogger Schneider all fill in do great jobs.Thats testament to his coaching and the correct recruitment of the right players that fit our system and culture
I am sure Ivan has had a wrap on Schneider even before we signed him. Hence why he got a 2 year deal when Cogger and SOS only got 1 year deals.

I hope Cole progresses to the next level, but he probably needs another couple of years in cup.

I can't wait to see Nathan and Schneider together, I think it could be successful.

The Manu try was rejected for the JWH obstruction, but you are right, the Butcher obstruction on Jerome's outside shoulder making him run around him should have been the more correct call.

To beat us you need a great pack
Very few errors
Offloads or something unpredictable in attack

The last thing being why Souffs and Parra trouble us atleast in regular season games

I don’t mind the controversy about our wins .less talk about our players the better .while we can’t fly under the radar it’s the next best thing
The problem being is the loony toon Panthers haters always reckon we get referee bias.

Must explain why we win so many captains challenges.

It’s just the way it is; it’s tribalism. Not many want to admit we win because we are better, so need to take aim at something. For Melbourne it was that they cheated the cap and wrestled, for the Chooks it was/is the cap. I find it gratifying that for us people think we get the 50/50 calls and celebrate too hard; it shows we are doing it the right way.
