    best ground?

When there's a big crowd, Lang Park is unbeatable. On a sunny Sunday afternoon for an all-Sydney game, Leichardt Oval is my favourite, and I'm not even a Tigers fan. Best hill in the game in my view.

    Gerogia playing strip

If only it wasn't a T shirt (i.e. no collar) then I'd call it a brilliant design.

Gold Coast Ironmen? PS What is a killaz?

    NRL team for Christchurch??

That's the idea with the Orcas, and why they would be called "Southern" rather than "Wellington". I think they are planning to split their games 9 : 3 that way if they ever get in. Hopefully they will be admitted in a few years. It's not healthy for NZ rugby league, and therefore...

    Tri Nations 05 opening game

It is so obvious that the staging of big Test matches is the best way to promote the game in the non-league states. I can't belive the ARL have not thought of it until now. People who are new to the game will take to it most easily when national pride is on the line, and they can barrack for...

Has anyone heard of this idea for improving RL?

I remember hearing the Wok talk about this, and I think it has a lot of merit. Anything that brings a bit of uncertainty into the game is good in my opinion. Imagine the thrilling passing movements as teams desperately try to keep the ball alive on the 7th and 8th. Good thinking.

    Worst staduim/field?

Showground is terrible for viewing and atmosphere. It's not a football ground at all. Disagree with the NS Oval comment completely. It's the most picturesque footy ground anywhere; a wonderful place to watch footy on a sunny Sunday arvo with the fig tree behind the posts and Sydney Harbour in...

Having a 16th team will suck. Why?...

Yes we need another team in SE Qld. Yes it would be great to see the Bears back in the comp at the Central Coaat. But we need a second team in NZ as well, for the benefit of the Kiwi game, and by extension the international game. If we brought them all in, it would satisfy everyone and...

Canturbury Council offer Back to Belmore

Play the 6 most attractive crowd-pulling games of the year, including ones against traditional rivals such as Saints and Parra, at Telstra. Play the 6 least attractive games, the ones where the crowd would be under 15,000, eg against Canberra, Warriors, Melbourne etc, at Belmore. You could...

    why the name All Gold's

The All Golds stopped in Sydney on the way to Britain for the innaugural rugby league tour in 1907, playing a NSW team. I think that was the first game of rugby league in Australia. They invited Dally Messenger to join them on their tour, and he did! I've seen a picture of him in the NZ jersey...

    Football Song

I think it's called "Summon the Heroes", by John Williams. It was written for one of the more recent Olympics I believe. A mate of mine loved it so much that he got a music shop to order in especially a CD which had the track on it. Since then whenever a few of us have got together for a big...

    Southern Orcas

A bit off the point, but having just seen the film "Deep Blue" and watching footage of an Orca hunting sea lions and propelling them 20 metres in the air with its tail, just for fun, before devouring them, then seeing a pair of Orcas pursue and kill a grey whale that was bigger than them both...

    Southern Orcas

...and for those who don't know, an orca is a killer whale. I like it; it's original, unique, relevant to the area it represents (I assume), and it's not a creature that you would muck around with! As for their inclusion, I would love to see them in. I don't think Aussie fans realise how...

    Bulldogs pick strong side

A waste of time for whom exactly? Not for two teams that will be striving to claim the title of best club team in the world, nor for the 30 000 fans who will be at Elland Road. How could you be so cynical?

    FUTURE OF MELBOURNE

Yeah, let's go back to an 8 team comp too, including Newtown, Glebe, Annandale and Sydney University. Seriously, persistence is required in Melbourne. Look at the Swans in Sydney. In '95 they were averaging about 8000 at their games, look at them now.

    Favourite Jersey thread

Anything simple and traditional, with a collar. It can't be a T shirt like the Broncos wear. I think the best current ones are Easts, Souths, and St George Illawarra. The Easts and Canterbury foundation jerseys are great too. An honorable mention goes to Newtown. Going back a few years...

The One & Only "Lets plan next years Tri-Nations&qu

Good thinking, but the field at Highbury would be too small. I'm pretty sure it's less than 100m long, it would be less than 90 if you put in rugby league in goals! How about the new Arsenal Stadium when it's finished? It's going to be a magnificent facility, close enough to the middle of...

    The Pretenders

Broncodroid, why don't you try and curb your gloating arrogance, it doen't do you any credit. (And try and get your spelling and punctuation right while you're at it. "Australian Kangaroo's"? Kangaroo's what? Kangaroo's pouch? Tail?)

    Rugby vs Rugby League

Isn't your heading meant to say "Rugby Union v Rugby League"? Last I heard rugby league was one of two codes of rugby.
