I still believe Burton is a superstar 5/8th in the making, but this year has been a huge setback for him. Perhaps this is the fear of young talents going to struggling clubs and killing their careers.

Scans today have confirmed nib Newcastle Knights halfback Jackson Hastings has a low-grade syndesmosis injury in the same leg than ended his 2022 season.

In good news, the previous surgery has ensured the damage was minimal and Hastings will be assessed on a day-to-day basis.

Hastings has commenced treatment this morning, with a positive attitude to return to the field, including the potential of playing this weekend against the Rabbitohs.

That's even more enjoyable than our win on the weekend. Fantastic news.

It’s very un-Knights like news. Are we finally getting some good fortunes?

like most of you, surely just rest him for this week. I’m sure Clune can step in and do the job required.

The key words are “in the making”. I think people look at Burton and fall in love with the attributes rather than the entire body of work.
