I'm more just trying to show how discussion could be instead of just shutting things down because it's negative or whatever. I was never rated peachey much even the first time around.
I loved Peachy. The first time around.

You didn’t I have no issues with that at all.

That is an opinion. That’s fine.

What I have an issue with with some Umina/Chins just suggesting the player is shit full stop.

Peachy is not shit, never was, he is a talent, won us games back in the Hook era and other than his brain snap against the Cowboys which cost us at least one point has actually done a decent job filling in a arguably the most challenging position in the NRL.

There is a lot of value in that opinion. If you had peachey you have cover for 9/6/1 - 5 and can play 80 in first grade if required. Whereas Luke is a 9 who'll only play limited minutes at least in first grade.
Luke will play minutes depending on how the game goes. If we are chasing points and the game isn’t cycling, he’ll get more.

If we are leading and the game is a grind and we are attacking with our D, he’ll get less.

Peachy wouldn’t make sense, he’s not really adding a lot that we don’t all ready have. Maybe if J-boy was injured or starting.

I have been in the Soni Luke camp, but I tend to agree we could be a little light on against a big storm side.

Peachy 14 or just bring in Eusinhuth. Kenny can play the full 80 with a few minutes from Salmon at dummy half if required.

Our rotation doesn’t require another bigger body on the bench, our rotation will more than handle this storm pack.

IMO anyway. Putting iso or Peach on the bench really doesn’t give us anything, unless we change a formula that’s been working for years now.

Robust discussion is a good thing. Continual repetitive bagging of players is what gets under everyone's skin. Fair enough if a player isnt playing well to mention it but to continually put the boot in even when they playing well becomes tiresome and not necessary.

I don't know if it is the boot into one certain player or discussing the best 17, Which is 95% sorted

I have question marks on if Salmon could play 80 on the edge too. So Hosking makes sense too.

It is whether he plays instead of Smith or over Luke for me

Unforeseen injuries aside, I think our chances of winning this game may be enhanced by having a different 14 option in this game.

I think Peachy is the way to go for the 14 in this game.

Personally, I think it could be a game to put Eusinhuth or Garner in instead of Salmon. Just my feeling.

No different than any other time over these past successful seasons. So that is simply not true.

I have said in your defence on more than one occasion I admire your passion and I respect that.

You need to accomodate the opinions of others without attempting to shut down their opinions when they don’t align with yours. Maybe you do it subconsciously I don’t know but it has been an issue on here and you need to take stock and just understand those that have an alternative opinion to you.

Again people try to interpret my replies instead of reading the words.

Let’s not go down a well worn path.

Im not going create any more pointless pages of nonsense.

I think the majority have simply pointed out they have opinions too and don’t need there opinions to be discounted off the back of your statistical based put downs.

You think Mitch Kenny is the second worst dummy half in the comp behind Billy Walter’s based on stats, we get it, some of us just don’t see it mate. I think
Mitch is going a great job not necessarily Api Koroisau job but overall he is going pretty good and not worthy of the hate he was getting.

Just back off on the stats based analysis and just enjoy the ride, it’s not that bad.

Do what you do best, support the team, support the club and support the players you are pretty good at that.

At the risk of being negative I get uneasy about Luke on the bench now. My reasons are different to chins I think he needs more minutes to get himself into a groove but either way the team seems to drop when he comes on and the storm are much better than the knights.

Otherwise keen to see how Edwards goes with a more full strength team he was getting involved in more passing and different parts of the field with the Origin players out. Hope that continues.
I agree.

Finding the balance between covering injuries and being able to be flexible if the game isn’t going our way is most important.

Having extra bodies on the bench is great to cover injuries, but it really offers us no help if we need to change the way we are playing.

I personally think this 17 gives decent injury cover, but also allows us to change gears if we need to.

just my thoughts anyway, if Hosking came onto the bench for Soni Luke I would have a huge issue with it.

Our record against the Storm isn’t great.

We are going to have to be at our absolute best to win on Friday night.

Happy to go with what Ivan thinks at the end of the day.

Tough game. Our record in Melbourne is not great. If we come away with the two points I will be ecstatic.

I’m pretty confident with this one. We are playing a level or two about the storm at the moment.

Can’t believe HOSKING isn’t in the best 17 going forwand.
A couple of points:

-We forget Hosking is a rookie. he hasn't even played a full year of NRL yet. His body has been smashed and rotating him makes sense.

-Peachey looks fitter than he has done in years. I have said many times part of the Panther secret sauce is fitness and conditioning. We seem to be one of the best in the NRL at it. Peachey was being conditioned by Ronnie Palmer at the Tigers. Nuff said.

I don’t really think rotation has anything to do with it. IC just prefers Sorensen on an edge over Hosking. His game interchanges seem to back that up also and Smiths playing well enough to allow him to make that decision. Not that I agree with that.

Would still like to see Garner get some consistent time. Showed something v Knights I thought.
