Yep nailed it
Week in week out so far this season our best has been Liam Henry and most think he is a plodder, go figure that one out. Apparently played the full 80 on thursday night ran for over 200 metres with a shit load of effective tackles. But everyone thinks Summerton or Cole or Jenkins need to be prioritised.

Probably because he wouldnt be much chop as a replacement for Tago in the centres or another Hooking option.

Depends on what you want. Henry won't offer impact like Spencer does but is better to start than Eisenhuth

Didn’t say he was a replacement for Spencer, no one is, I’ve been saying it for two seasons, Spencer Lenui was only going to get better and better and we are now seeing a glimpse of his potential. By the time he is in his prime he will be a f**king Rooster and I don’t often swear but in this case it is worthy of an expletive.

Have to feel for Charlie Staines, horrific injury, he has been pretty decent this season.

Almost died playing for the Tigers, he is now an official club legend.

He was going well and one of very few players in the squad actually improving.

If this can’t lift the boys, they should all retire.

Nofo returns after his punishment.

I thought Eisenhuth was fantastic last year but he just looks to have regressed this year and Henry is one of the few prospects banging on the door in Cup. Below looks a lot more threatening and the only risk is in talented but inexperienced kids coming in rather than guys proven to be reserve graders these days.

1. Edwards 2. Turuva 3. Jenkins 4. Crichton 5. To'o 6. Luai 7. Cleary 8. Leota 9. Kenny 10. Smith 11. Sorenson 12. Hosking 13. Yeo 14. Luke 15. Leniu 16. Henry 17. Peachey

Huth should be seen as a backup lock only. He's ineffective at prop

Have heard that Penrith may be without Cleary, Sorenson, Turuva as well as Tago this week. So Cogger and Jenkins might both get starts.

For all the talk about our depth. It's truly mind boggling that the likes of Kenny, Luke and Salmon are top 17 players and we then have guys like Peachey, Eisenhuth etc. at the top of our depth pile.

Our depth looked better because of how amazing our top 14 or 15 players are or were with Api and Kikau. They carried a couple of reserve graders to a premiership which is truly impressive. But the fact they were top 17 kinda tells you how quickly our depth got average.

Not to say our depth is bad. We're stacked in some positions. But it sure as hell isn't close to as good as it was talked up to be. I thought we would be fringe top 4 this year with our losses. Which is where we sit now. But im not sure we can hold on to top 4 tbh. A few injuries and we become fringe top 8.

This game should be a statement game for the Panthers and not treated as an r&r getaway retreat for the squad. If they go in thinking it’ll be a walk in the park then they’ll get their pants pulled down like Knights did to them - almost did to them. There’s a bye in 4 weeks or something use that as the rest period for players.

I completely understand that these players have accumulatively played the most footy out of any other squad in the game. Reg season, finals, gfs, origin series and World Cup. But it isn’t the time to rest - the side keep having games where opposition throw 100% effort at them. Hence the close losses. There’s been fatigue and fade outs in the last 10 mins in all the loses Broncos, Eels and especially Souths.

This game needs to be a statement. High completion rate 85% + with a simple game plan, aggressive defence and turning up every play. Getting back to basics. If they do this it’ll put them in good stead. They cannot afford the opportunity drop this game the comp is too close this season- Tigers will want to ambush and Panthers need to be ready.

Yep fifteen of the first choice seventeen in the 2022 team were potentially the best squad of the NRL era.

Perfectly balanced with no weakness. We had an eighty minute hooker and backrow that were able to carry the other two on the bench for emergency minutes.

good test for Luai to run the team if Clez is out - it should be likely that he does this during the origin period as Hynes should be ahead of Luai for the 6 jersey.

just need to turn up with the right attitude on Saturday night - take the Tigers for granted and we'll be the laughing stock of the comp this weekend
